I'm thinking about running for state rep. for ky. the peoples voice is not being heard. its time for the people to stand up and have their rights defended and not taken away. please leave some opinions.

Fredericksburg was a rehab project ( update the existing buildings), Meadowcreek was a request to build more buildings.

Not a double standard, just 2 very different requests.

FYI - 2 "very different requests"? they are both improvements on their property, and they were asking for the exact same tax credit, filed on the same day, asking the city for "support" (basically just saying "yes").

Assuming Ownership of the BLR is different, asking for money for a fire trucks is different, but two companies asking for a tax credit to make improvements on their property, putting money into the community, very similar.

"voice of the people". Run for State Representative dude. any of the issues you think are important would get great publicity as a candidate for office, and i think we need as many fresh ideas as we can get.

Do any of you live in Meadowcreek or know anyone who lives there. According to the Gallatin County News Jackie Giles says the community does not need the type of people that live there. Any thoughts from you good people?

if the people are not in jail they have the right to live where ever they want. if they commit crimes that's what we have police , judges and jails for. just b/c people (ex. jackie giles) doesn't like the people that live there does not give him the right to deny the people to live there or future people to live there. who gave him the right to go over the all the documents that the founding fathers of this county wrote and agreed upon. the last time I checked we haven't abolished the current goverment yet.

The second post of this has a link to the Warsaw City Council Meeting that day. You see what Jackie said in the entire context. I feel like he thinks of Meadow Creek Warsaw as the Over-the-Rhine Cincinnati he sees on the TV.

all of the warsaw city council that voted "no" to meadowcreek should be voted out of office for doing what they did.

It's almost like Jackie Giles thinks Meadow Creek as the ghetto of Warsaw. Go around to many cities in Kentucky, and there's a divide, white America, black America, and it's by design intentionally. Meadow Creek isn't a ghetto by any stretch of the imagination. I think one of their units are around $600-$700 per month, which is more than I pay for rent at Parkside ($500), so that's not impoverished, and it's not a ghetto. Well maybe Jackie will be able to squeeze some more public services out of him, more lighting, sidewalks, and I think there should be a park too. A playground for the little kids to play, and the adults to watch.

funny these days that fresh ideas are actually common sense ideas. johnny have you heard any city or country in the world for that matter that does not want population growth. to my understanding if any city or country that has population decline is dying or dead.

Yeah, I think there's a master Zoning Plan, to regulate growth between commercial, business, and residential interests, but I feel like any reasonable town would want to encourage growth in all of these areas.
