beauty pageants and the gallatin conty fair

I have to say that as a long as I have gone to the fair and the numerous beauty pageants there, I have not one time gone and not heard at least one crude comment from someone. It is sickening to me that some people are so low and hipocritical that they do this right in front of Family members of the pageant contestant!!!! It makes me sick that parents allow this and actually play along with it. You need to grow up and stop being jealous just because your kids are not the greatest. I will tell you why they aren't, because you ,as a parent are low down and pathetic. NIce way to raise your kids!!!

no, i am not going anymore because I can't enjoy it. I am sorry that i went then, but my niece was in it.You can't enjoy anyhting anymore for a**holes. These people claim to be church going people, what a joke!!! just a bunch of hipocrits in my book. nothing religious about that kind of ignorance.

i am a firm believer that people should not put children at any age thru this type of contest.
to many hurt feeling because of it. not all but some of them are fixed in round about way/s .
because of favors owed. and influence/s from other/s. if you do not think it happens someone must be asleep.

It is funny that the mother one of the winner's this year, was the very same mother who was talking crap bc her daughter didn't win. She is all of 17. Gallatin Co. residents need to grow up.

It is ridiculous when a grown woman sits there knowing that her daughter is making faces and comments about certain contestants. She obviously is just as bad or she would not condone it!!!

Some parent's have bad sportsmanship and have not grown up yet. I was at one of the pageants this year and I heard a girl say "even though I didn't place, I am going to be in it again next year cause that was so much FUN". Why can't the parents keep their mouth's shut and let their daughter's have fun. Of course every parent thinks their child is beautiful. I think if you don't get anything keep trying and don't give up!! I give these girl's a lot of praise for even participating in them....

the sad part about it is that the girls cannot even have fun anymore. It is not fun, it is rivalry! the parents make it that way. Some of them are not , but most are. My iece keeps wanting to be in them every year even though she does not get anything. At least she has enough self confidence to keep trying and I am proud of her for that.

I agree with the post above. The GC Pageants are pitiful. Until someone with class starts running them, then they will always be pitiful.

What's with all this negativity. I mean really. If you are gonna roll with the BIG DOGs you should probably move to Warsaw. Cause I don't think you have all your facts correct. I don't see anything wrong with the current pageant director. For somebody that volunteers as much time as she does must be a pretty good damn person in my book. If you think you can make a difference then come to the next fair board meeting on Nov. 10. Ta ta for now.

I think this is absolutely ridiculous. The ONLY reason anyone is posting bullshit on here is because they didn't think that Tammy would read it. Just shows the lack of respect and balls people have in this town. Tammy works her ass off to put on this pageant. She tries her hardest to make sure everything is fair and worries about not offending people and making sure all the girls have equal chances without worrying about who their parents are. It's funny that when the person who bad mouths her the most gets her min to control a lesser festivity in town everyone and everything that wins has something to do with her. Maybe some people should take a look at what and who is really respectful and dedicated to the work they put into this town.

I think Tammy does a great job! She puts a lot of hard work into the pageants and volunteers a lot of her time when I am sure she could be doing other things with her family. I know I have heard her say that "she enjoys working with the girls". I honestly believe her. Now matter if the popular or not popular girl wins someone will always talk. I appreciate all the work you do. Don't let people like this get to you.
