There's Meadowcreek, which everybody knows has horrible landlord issues, and everybody knows that city council could care less. There's Parkside, which is lots of people paying for one person's livlihood... you know landlords have to make good money. If Meadowcreek is $600 a month, and there's 40 units, then that's $24,000 per month. If Parkside was $500 a month, and there's 100 units, then that's $50,000 per month. It's hard to hear about these landlord's problems since they've got so much cash flow.

What other landlords are in town? You got the Warsaw Apartments, you have trailer parks, Gabriel's Court Trailer Park, Don Bolte, Dale Scudder, Kevin Deaton... who else is taking large sums of money from people every month? Asbury Point... are they rental properties too? If banks were giving out more loans to people so they can get themselves a home, but that's clearly not happening (esp. with the two huge corporate comglomerate banks in town), so instead of working people working towards themselves, towards owning their own land, building up equity, instead, they're shooting cum wads in the toilet at the tune of $6,000 per year, at least.

Out of all the landlords in town, who is the worst? I think the biggest one should be looked at with the most scrutiny (Parkside, by far, is the biggest), and then go from there. Plus, they seem to throw a fit if something is broken and needs to be fixed. So they take all of your money and then expect you to pay even more for something that should have been fixed to begin with.

I rent from Dale Scudder, and he is probably the best landlord iv had. He fixes any problem as quick as he can and his rent is fair :)

Fat Parkside Kim. She's the worst. She's a thief. Stole my $300 deposit. She can upcharge her residents whenever she feels like it, but she's not fair and honest when the shoe's on the other foot. I wonder how many other deposits she's kept. This is a class action lawsuit in the making. That stupid thieving fat ass bitch.

This is like asking who's the worst tenant in town. Someone who pays the rent on time every month but lives in filth? Or someone who keeps a clean place, no drugs and no parties but who pays a few days late? How about the one who manufactures meth in your apartment?

Having rented for years I know when I move out I need to make sure everything is spotless, the blinds are cleaned, the toilet, tub, stove and appliances are clean and that the carpets are vacuumed. The sills are dusted and the trash is out. THEN, if they kept my deposit we'd be having a fight. But I've also cleaned apartments for landlords whose tenants walked out, left crusty crap on the bottom of the oven, spilled milk in the frige and let it dry, sprayed soft drinks on the windows and carpet, left human waste in the toilet and soap scum in the tub and sink as well as ashes ground into the carpet and rotten onions in the closet. Then there are the ones inbetween those two. Sometimes I was paid more to clean the apartment and recondition it than the deposit he charged. So it all depends on both the renter and the tenant.

Take pictures before you move in and after you move out make sure you have a newspaper to prove the dates. make sure do not pay in cash keep all receipts showing showing when you paid your rent. Best yet do a walk through with the landlord and have them to sign a paper stating what is wrong or everything is right. No problems there.

Is the kim you are talking about at parkside the chick that sets out on the bench all day gossiping?? Tried to rent from there once she showed me a dirty apartment, I said hell no. Especially after she told me they wouldn't replace the carpet.

Shirley Haycraft is by far a nightmare of a landlord she acts like either she thinks her tenants are stupid or like she wants her tenants to think she stupid and she is not. Her properties are full of mold hazardous wiring Holes infested with bugs its like camping in your own home in the middle of the wilderness. And pretty much all her tenents are junkies so when someone who is stable and drug free with a good job moves in she treats them as if they are junkies too although she know who doing what. Dont leave the same locks on your door if you do move in she will go in your home while you're not there and meddle and eat your food and her maintenance wannabees steal. CHANGE YOUR LOCKS. Its a real struggle to be a tenant of hers

This is a true tenant, of haycraft's and I would have to agree the mold is bad, sinks are clooged, plumber ran 25ft snake but it keeps backing up Ive told her at LEAST 4 TIMES ITS BAD..,,
we tried to see why the roof had mold its because the roof is leaking so bad its dripping down on the ceiling I told her and she said just put kilt on it..lol its in the attic part of the roof shirley.....lol it would be a decent house if she would just fix it...... she helped me out when I needed help she is good lady just her principles are all wrong; if anyone has been to her home you would gasp in Ahh its a mansion and everything in doors is white.......... beautiful home.... but she needs her properties fixed or sold so she can retire, she does not work so her rentals are her income....... theres no way she is broke..... so she just has to keep them rented to live well, she definatly will work with you, but her crew is something else.....

Lived Parkside 8 yrs and when i was told my rent would be raised to almost $625 for an unfinished no utilities paid and decided to move as i was on month to month lease at that time refused my deposit return...

Judy that owns the house at 213 morton ave. Is a two face!!# she talks about her tenants behind therr backs. She doesnt fix anything that is wrong...her place probably still had bugs. And the basement is probably still flooded. She hates to come out of pocket to buy anything for her properties!! Shame on u lady and your suppose to be a christian lol
