I want to show what led to John McCain defeat, and brought a Democrat to power. These are headlines leading up to the 2008 election. Each headline can be verified on the Internet. As each of you read this, you will see that the Doofus Gang can't bring themselves to believe the story. If I write and don't document Neutral will bitch about it. Rooster will call it lies. Joe Chit will chime in after the others write, with his filth.

NPR Poll: Bush Rating Weighs Down GOP Prospects

by Mara Liasson

President Bush's job approval rating remains anemic, creating a big drag on the Republican Party, a new poll for NPR shows. Although the Democratic Congress is even more unpopular than the president, that's not leading voters to look at Republicans as the solution.
Likely voters have grown even more pessimistic about the direction of the country, according to the bipartisan poll. Sixty-eight percent say the country is on the wrong track, while only 23 percent say it's heading in the right direction.

The New York Times

81% in Poll Say Nation Is Headed on Wrong Track

Americans are more dissatisfied with the country’s direction than at any time since the New York Times/CBS News poll began asking about the subject in the early 1990s, according to the latest poll.
In the poll, 81 percent of respondents said they believed “things have pretty seriously gotten off on the wrong track,” up from 69 percent a year ago and 35 percent in early 2002.
Although the public mood has been darkening since the early days of the war in Iraq, it has taken a new turn for the worse in the last few months, as the economy has seemed to slip into recession. There is now nearly a national consensus that the country faces significant problems.
A majority of nearly every demographic and political group — Democrats and Republicans, men and women, residents of cities and rural areas, college graduates and those who finished only high school — say the United States is headed in the wrong direction. Seventy-eight percent of respondents said the country was worse off than five years ago; just 4 percent said it was better off.

U.S. Is Headed in the Wrong Direction, Poll Suggests
by Mara Liasson
Americans are feeling pessimistic about the direction the country is heading, a new bipartisan NPR poll suggests. They're increasingly leaning toward alignment with the Democratic Party and divided over their choices for president in the fall.
An unprecedented 80 percent of likely voters surveyed said the United States is on the wrong track — a huge jump from the 68 percent who felt that way in the previous NPR poll in January.
The latest dissatisfaction level is reflected in other polls conducted recently by the Gallup Organization and several newspapers and TV networks.
When asked about the job President Bush is doing, 65 percent of respondents overall said they disapproved and a bare majority, 51 percent, said they disapproved strongly.
That might help explain why, after years of near-equity between the parties, more voters called themselves Democrats than Republicans by a difference of 10 percentage points.
06/19/08 03:12 PM ET Associated Press
WASHINGTON — Wherever the nation should be headed, this isn't it.
The number of Americans who believe the country is moving in the wrong direction has risen sharply, to nearly eight in ten, amid soaring food and gas prices, falling home values and unending war. Just 17 percent say the country is going in the right direction, according to an AP-Ipsos poll.
The right-direction number is the lowest ever recorded by the survey, which began in 2003. When other surveys are taken into account, the general level of pessimism is the worst in almost 30 years.

By TOM RAUM, Associated Press

Americans’ views on the economy have dimmed this summer. But so far, the growing pessimism doesn’t seem to be taking a toll on President Barack Obama’s re-election prospects.

More people now believe the country is headed in the wrong direction, a new Associated Press-GfK poll shows, and confidence in Obama’s handling of the economy has slipped from just a few months ago, notably among fellow Democrats.

The survey found that 86 percent of adults see the economy as “poor,” up from 80 percent in June. About half — 49 percent — said it worsened just in the past month. Only 27 percent responded that way in the June survey.

That can’t be good news for a president revving up his re-election campaign. Yet there are several hopeful signs for Obama.

Despite the perception of a weakening recovery, there has been no significant change in the number of people who say he deserves re-election: 47 percent as opposed to 48 percent two months ago. That’s a statistical dead heat with those who favor a change in the White House.

And more Americans still blame former President George W. Bush rather than Obama for the economic distress. Some 31 percent put the bulk of the blame on Obama, while 51 percent point to his Republican predecessor.

“I think Bush had a hand in it, too. Obama’s not totally responsible,” said Mary Parish, 68, of Troy, Tenn. An independent who voted for Republican John McCain in 2008, she said she doesn’t believe Obama has what it takes to heal the economy.“He’s a smooth-talking man. But he does not know what he’s doing.”

Obama also fares better than Congress in the blame department. Some 44 percent put “a lot” or “most” of the blame on Republicans while 36 percent point to congressional Democrats.

The gloomy economic outlook reflected in the poll, which was taken Aug. 18-22, follows a round of bleak government economic reports — on unemployment, the housing market and economic growth that fell below 1 percent for the first six months of the year. It was taken amid heightened worries of a new U.S. recession, fallout from a downgrade of the country’s credit rating and a spreading European debt crisis.

As the public’s outlook on the economy dips, so has approval for the president’s economic stewardship.

Read this written by Rooster Cogburn:

Nosir, when the ole coot and his buddies are gathered around the pot-bellied stove down at the country store that Warren Jeff name never comes up, but we do talk a lot about Barack Obama and Eric Holder and how they bought illegal guns and sent them to Mexico in the hopes people would be killed with those guns.

When most people are sitting by an air conditioner. If being out in near 100 degree weather isn't enough Rooster builds a big old fire in the wood burner, and gathers around. Way to go Rooster. NO! NO! He gathers around a pot-bellied stove. Are you preparing for Hell Rooster? I always thought you were a damn fool, I'll be damn if this don't prove it. Are you OK Rooster? Have you had a Heat Stroke? Are you Nuts? What happened Rooster? I think between Jack Daniels and the Sun, you got your tiny brain fried real good.

Now on with the question OLD CRAZY ROOSTER keeps insisting I answer. He must think everyone one is as stupid as he is. Here you go Bartender. And to the Mormon authority on Warsaw Topix, Joe Chit.

They keep saying our President hasn't done anything for America. They say I can't answer that question.

As Commander-In-Chief ordered the Seal Team Six to Capture or Kill Osama bin Laden. The risk was enormus to the lives in those helicopters. To our reputation as Americans if we failed. To the President, he would have been asked to resigned. But to the Doofus Gang, hell it don't matter to those men. They soon forgot. Had it been their Hero George W. Bush, they would still be bragging about it. It is a shame Republicans are this way. But they are narrow minded, hard headed, have no new ideas, can't agree on anything, their list of candidates that ran for President was as long as your arm. They are a senseless, mindless, hopeless bunch.

Remember DRILL! DRILL?

These liars on here, want everyone to believe as well as all Republicans that gasoline has doubled under Obama. What they fail to tell you, under George W. Bush gasoline rose to over $4.00 a gallon.

July 2008 cude Oil was higest ever.

5 Presidents Who Raised the Debt Ceiling

Congress has tinkered with the debt ceiling, the statutory limit on amount of money the United States government is authorized to borrow to meet its legal obligations, a grand total of 78 times since 1960 -

49 times under Republican presidents and

29 times under Democratic presidents.

1. Debt Ceiling Under Obama

The debt ceiling has been raised on three (3) occasions under President Barack Obama. The debt ceiling was $11.315 trillion when the Democrat was sworn into office in January 2009 and increased by nearly $3 trillion or 26 percent by summer 2011, to $14.294 trillion.

2. Debt Ceiling Under Bush

The debt ceiling was raised on seven (7) occasions during President George W. Bush's two terms in office, from $5.95 trillion in 2001 to nearly double that,$11.315 trillion, in 2009 - an increase of $5.365 trillion or 90 percent.

3. Debt Ceiling Under Clinton

The debt ceiling was raised on four (4) occasions during President Bill Clinton's two terms, from $4.145 trillion when he took office in 1993 to $5.95 trillion when he left the White House in 2001 - an increase of $1.805 trillion or 44 percent.

4. Debt Ceiling Under Bush

The debt ceiling was raised on four (4) occasions during President George H.W. Bush's one term, from $2.8 trillion when he took office in 1989 to $4.145 trillion when he left the White House in 1993 - an increase of $1.345 trillion or 48 percent.

5. Debt Ceiling Under Reagan

Here is where big government really caught fire. Going back to George Washington, to FDR and WW II, to JFK, Jimmy Carter. The first President to run up deficit to the enormous 1 TRILLION DOLLARS, your smooth mouth Ronald Reagan.
The debt ceiling was raised on seventeen (17) occasions under President Ronald Reagan, nearly tripling from $935.1 billion to $2.8 trillion.

Pale, try getting some help for the numerous substance abuses you have. Your posts aren't even readable anymore. Full of hate and rambling like a drunk singing a song.

Three months ago you were a conservative republican. No one bought it then and was just more of your pattern of self destruction.

You spend most of your time alone with a bottle and drug(s) of choice. No friends as the fat girl is seeking attention from from the boys on topix. Your family must be very disappointed in you. You blew daddy's inheritance due to substance abuse.

Get some help so you can represent your view with some dignity and insight. No one likes a mean drug and no one wants to be around a drug addict.

Poor old crazy Pale.

She writes all of this meaningless information for one purpose only.

Pale (and the Obama campaign) have to distract us from the dismally failed record of Barack Obama.

She cites an NPR poll and a story by news woman Maura Liason to try to convince us that George W Bush is relevent to this campaign.

This election isn't about Ronald Reagan, George W Bush, Warren Jeff, The Book of Mormon, nor what Maura Liason and NPR think about anything.

That is just a distraction.

What this election is about how the people who will vote in Novemeber feel about Barack Obama.

It is about how they feel about the economy , the high unemployment, the enormous debt he has run up, how they feel about the job Barack Obama has done as President.

I repeat, It ain't about Mitt Romney. It's about Barack Obama.

All Romney has to do is appear to meet the basic requirements for the office and convince the voters that he is. He's already there.

"The Great Bill Clinton" said that Mitt Romney has a "sterling record" at Bain Capital. He said that Mitt exceeds the threshold for being qualified to be president.

That sounded to me much like an endorsement. Many democrat voters, disenchanted with Obama will take it that way.

Mitt has already done all he has to do show his is capable of being president.

The burden of proof is on Obama. He has to convince the skeptical voters that they should vote for him.

People see Obama as a liar, they see him as an elitist who looks down on us, they see him as a man who does not respect our constitution and our sacred traditions.

They see him that way because that's what he is.

Eleven percent of the voters see him as a Muslim. It doesn't matter if he is or not, they see him as one. So that hurts him.

Many don't believe he was born here. It matters not if he really was. Many think he wasn't. That hurts him too.

Obama's support has dropped among almost every group that went big for him in 2008.

Turnout at the polls is closely related to the interest shown in the race by various groups of voters.

Currently 51% of conservative voters are very interested.

For liberals and moderate voters the numbers are 33% and 34% who are very interested.

Conservatives outnumber liberals by a two to one margin.

Only one in four likely voters strongly approve of the job he is doing.

While a whopping 43 percent STRONGLY DISSAPPROVE of the job he is doing.

All the while Pale Rider hasn't given us a single good reason to vote for this man.

Mitt Romney will most likely win a landslide victory in November.

Many people who have a job feel that Obama as president hasn't affected them. However, many of these people don't pay attention to what's going on. They are wrapped up in their own little world.

Those who don't have jobs and can't find one and have been on unemployment for a year are the ones who feel it. They are also the ones who hate Obama the most for not keeping his promises to America. I believe there will be a good turnout at the polls and it is my hope and prayer that Ovomit will loose and loose big time in November. I feel this will happen because my God is not a Muslim God.

Miss Pale you need to get your head on straight and you can start by listening to Rooster. He can guide and direct you to the truth.

The Rest of the Story
Paul Harvey

Poor Bill was framed by the relentless day in and day out hounding about his goings and coming from the Oval Office. Then the White House Press asking questions about his sex life. Did you get it in the Presidential limo? Air Force One? Oval Office? Lincoln Bed Room? Lincoln Memorial? Arlington? Jefferson Memorial? Smithsonian? Captiol Building? Camp David? Where Mr. President? Then combine that with the Republican's that can't keep their nose to themselves. Plus the day to day business of running the country. The poor man, had to ask? What is - IS? With the Republicans asking? Did you use a cigar? Did you do it at the desk in the Oval Office? Did you do it? How many times? Then someone let it slip there was a stain on the Blue Dress? What the intern failed to tell them. A pigeon was flying over and the rest is history as it now appears. The droppings stained the dress. Now you know the "Rest of the Story." This should end the story that the Republican's had to know. I am sorry it took years to find out. If you doubt this story, all you have to do is ask? Did Lee Harvey Oswald kill JFK alone as the only gunman? Everyone has a theory. In case anyone is wondering? Paul Harvey has an archive of stories that never made it on radio. This is one of the Paul Harvey stories, I never made this up. I never told a lie. So there Doofus Gang is the "REST Of THE STORY."

Pale just don't get it.

The upcoming election is not about what Paul Harvey thought about Bill Clinton (though I doubt the truth of Pale's story). What he may have thought about Bill Clinton is irrelevent to the election.

However, thanks for bringing up Bill Clinton again. Bill Clinton indicated that he sees Mitt Romney as being a savvy business man who is well qualified to be President. That is very relevent.

Thank you Bill.

The election isn't about what NPR or Maura Liason might think George Bush. That's irrelevent too.

Neither Clinton nor Bush will be on the ballot.

The election isn't about Warren Jeff nor the book of Mormon.

Quite simply put, this election is about whether the people who show up to vote think Barack Obama deserves another term.

What the decide on that depends on how happy they are with the job he has done.

Indications are that many democrats aren't happy.

There continue to be stories about elected democrats who are not happy with Obama -- That these democrats don't want to be seen as supporting him.

At least a dozen elected democrat officials have thus far indicated that they WILL NOT attend the democrat convention.

Again, recently, both Tavis Smiley and Cornell West, leftist radio hosts, have dumped on Obama on the the syndicated Smiley & West radio program.

While it's no secret Tavis Smiley and Cornel West have long been less-than-enthusiastic about Barack Obama's performance, their latest presidential slam-fest is unusually blunt.

The bottom line: why is the administration still trying to convince African-Americans it deserves their support? Doesn't that reveal some disturbing Oval Office insecurity?

During the most recent edition of the syndicated Smiley & West radio program, the lefty pundits blasted Obama for sending Valerie Jarrett to the National Association of Black Journalists convention in New Orleans to recite meaningless talking points.

What these people, who should be among Obama's biggest supporters -- and they were in 2008, WHAT THEY THINK -- is relevent to the campaign.

The ongoing scandal related to the "fast and furious" gun-running scheme into Mexico -- that is relevent to the campaign -- relevent to the question of Obama's fitness to be President.

Pale never comments on these important issues.

Rather, the clueless Pale Rider just keeps trying to distract us by writing about the distant past and other irrelevent trivia.

What Pale is doing is just trying to put "lipstick on the pig". It's still a Pig Pale. The likely voters see that.

We aren't being distracted from what's important.

So you keep reading your Book Of Moron (your holy book) and writing this silly stuff.

What you write helps people see how silly and deperate Obama and his supporters have become.

And by all means keep bashing George Bush. That just helps us.

Rooster is about to have a frenzy, that I don't know what this election is about. I have looked all day to find something that Mitt Romney is planning to do for America.

1. What will Mitt Romney do? Does anyone know?

He tells one story in Michigan, another in Ohio. FLIP/FLOP.

He tells another story on the EAST COAST of which people are tired of listening to him. They know what he is like. FLIP/FLOP, FLIPPING and FLOPPING.

He Tells another story on the WEST COAST, of which he rarely goes to. FLUP/FLOP, FLIPPING and FLOPPING.

Rooster, is having a fit over what I write, generally, when people get upset, a RAW NERVE has been struck. Neutral has already slipped over the edge. He keep writing the same old thing over and over. If you go back and read what they say, it will remind you a whole lot of Mitt Romney, a whole lot of nothing, on nothing.

Yea! Repeal the Health care. Big deal. Do you really think the 31,000,000 are planning on voting for Mitt Romney?

Cry a little more Neutral, you skinny ass little WEAZEL.

I hope you stay away from that pot-bellied stove Rooster. That could be a little unhealthy for you. I worry about you Rooster. I hope you recover from your HEAT STROKE, I honestly do.

In the mean time I wonder what else Paul Harvey has in The Rest of the Story Vault?

It is beginning to come up roses for our Mr. President.

No need to wonder what the Higest Court in Land is going to do.

No need to campaign on the WEST COAST, people out there know a good thing. Look at George Clooney, ridin high, and supporting Obama. The EAST COAST, OH! WELL they know MITT. FLIP/FLOP.

Again "Pale nitwit" -- IT ISN'T ABOUT MITT ROMNEY.

BARACK OBAMA is a sitting President asking the voters to keep him on for four more years. Thus it all hinges on whether the voters feel he has done a good job or not.

If they think he has done a good job he will be re-elected. If not, he'll be fired.

Thus it is a REFERENDUM ON BARACK OBAMA and his performance of the job for the past three and a half years.

In the upcoming REFERENDUM ON BARACK OBAMA (in 2012)I expect the results to be much like the previous REFERENDUM ON BARACK OBAMA back in the 2010 mid-terms.

I fully expect that --once again-- the voters will hand him his @ss on a platter. The Republicans will control both the House and the Senate along with the White House.

Barack Obama has destroyed the democrat party. His work here is done.

This time he'll be going back to Chicago.

The question is: What's going to knock the democraps out of power?

Just some facts about Mitt Romney that we will not hear about from the media!

Mitt Romney:

After going to both Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School simultaneously, he passed the Michigan bar, but never worked as an attorney.

As a venture-capitalist, Romney's first major business deal involved investing in a start-up office supply company with one store in Massachusetts that sold office supplies. That company, called Staples, now has over 2,000 stores and employs over 90,000 people.

Romney or his company Bain Capital (he was using that name, knowing it would become known as the "Bain Way") would go on to perform the same kinds of business miracles again and again, with companies like Domino's, Sealy, Brookstone, Weather Channel, Burger King, Warner Music Group, Dollarama, Home Depot Supply, and many others.

Got your calculators handy? Let's recap.

Volunteer campaign worker for his dad's gubernatorial campaign, worked 1 year.

Unpaid intern in Governor's office, worked 8 years.

Mormon missionary in Paris, stayed there for 2 years.

Unpaid bishop and state president for his church employed there for 10 years.

No salary as president of the Olympics, happy to work there for 3 years.

No salary as the MA governor, hung around there for 4 years.

That's a grand total of 28 years of unpaid service to his country, his community and his church. Why? Because that's the kind of man Mitt Romney is!

And in 2011 Mitt Romney gave over $4 million to charity, almost 19% of his income....Obama gave 1%

Joe Biden gave $300 or .0013%

This is real character vs....well you know what!

Romney may not be the best representative the Republicans could have selected. At least I know what religion he is, and that he won't desecrate the flag, bow down to foreign powers, or squander my money on vacations. I know he has the ability to turn this financial debacle that the "Spending President" has gotten us into. We didn't know that when Obama said he'd give us change, he meant nickels and dimes, and he would get the big bucks. We won't like all the things necessary to recover from this debt, but someone with Romney's background can do it.

But, on the minus side, He never was a "Community Organizer", never took drugs or smoked pot. Never got drunk. Did not associate with communists or terrorists. Nor did he attend a church whose pastor called for God to damn the United States.
