BTW, don't bother making any sarky remarks or saying anything else about my post cuz I know whereof I speak and couldn't care less about the opinions of people who will never, ever know what its like. Not to mention I have better things to do than respond to idiots who want to pick a fight or tell me I'm wrong. Just thought I'd save you time. And again, I'm not condoning, I'm just sayin'....

Been there.......I'm gonna have to argue with you on your stance of depression being an excuse.
I've had depression and was on meds for it and I can tell you that even at the worst I never let my living coditions get like that. Just because someone has depression doesn't excuse them from keeping house that poorly.

how do you expect these people to get real help, when they are judged unfairly
due to everyone seeing and knowing what their living conditions were. the pictures are too graphic and thanks to the media everybody knows who they are, and looks down on them instead of helping. hopefully the communities can reach out and help them and others in their situations.
I really don't think that these people have been judged unfairly I think that thanks to the media that poor little boy is in a much better place. I don't always agree with how the media sometimes covers stories, but in this case they did an excellent job. Why should the community help someone who can't help themselves????

I have severe depression, I can tell you that once the problem starts, it just spirals very easily. Then when you look at the situation, you are overwhelmed and since you don't know where to start, you simply don't start. This results in your depression getting even worse. Hence the phrase "Catch22". I agree that our country needs to start helping these people and stop worrying about the illigal aliens. I myself am on Soc. Sec. Disability due to Mental AND Physical issues. My income is below poverty level and I am currently homeless (traveling by 3 days at several different friends opening their home to me). This is not because I don't know, but because Gov't Subsidy, Section 8 as well as HUD - is completely full at this time. These issues need to be noticed and worked on. At least these people had a home to live in, no matter how bad - at least they weren't living out of their vehicle. Now is the time to put your money where your mouth is. I don't see anyone here offering to help. At least the neighbor offered to house the child in an environment which would allow the child to feel comfortable instead of taking him to a foster home which I understand is also hard to find. Let the neighbor help, take the parents to a home to learn how to live and get the correct medication if necessary and moniter, moniter, moniter.

They didn't do anything! They showed up at the location AFTER the notice was already on the door stating the place was condemed! They obtained all the details from law enforcement. So why is WANE TV getting credit for the boy's removal? They had absolutely nothing to do with it. They weren't even allowed inside.

How is that even an opinion? If you want to give your "blessings" to the boy's "saving grace" then maybe you should be directing them to the unknown neighbor who initally made the complaint and got the ball rolling to begin with, not the crack pot news team who without consent posted the kid's name for the whole world to see. Ignorance. WANE actually did the child more harm than good. To be completely honest, it would have been in the childs best interest to just remain unknown and off the news completely!

i saw a broom and some dish soap, USE IT!!!!! how do people live like this? i cant sleep at night if there is laundry or dishes to be done....it amazes me the people that have children and what the children have to go through because of negligent parents.....i am all for an IQ test in order to have a baby, then at least you know the parents are competent enough to have them, they may need parenting classes, but i believe it will get alot of people off of welfare if they just test them first, and if you dont pass, they tie your tubes or give you a vasectomy!

Sorry you feel that way, but that is the way I feel. It's just an opinion and I am not going to argue. The pictures are nasty and the toilet alone probably has MRSA, VRE, E-coli, staph, strep and Hepatitis. It's just to bad that the little boy has been thru all that.

Good idea in a bad way. Who is gonna set the limits and such for this test? I raised 3 sons as a single mom and kept a very clean house doing it. I do agree with if they aren't mentally competent to have children do some precautionary measures. Who has the right to just say that you can't have children because you don't meet the test criteria? Is our government a communistic one?

You mean republicans? Or just the really dirty republicans like these people? I know they are all dirty and grimy, but some of them at least take a bath after hunting for squirrel in their moms back yard.

When I see the pictures of this house, images of president reagan flash before my eyes, and I start to hear banjo music.

This post is about an innocent child who has been subject to the worst means of living. There is no need to the Republican talk(wire4hire) when we are talking about an innocent child.
