Tonya we wish you nothing but the best w/ your recovery. You were a beautiful lady and still are. This is a terrible tragedy and for those who are not cooperating I hope justice is served. Do you not even care about the long term effect this could have to Tonya...or even the fact it happened at all. Guess they have to live w/ their own ghosts. Anyway best of luck and may God be with you.

My family knows Tonya personally and have had her in our home since this horrific incident. We have heard the terror in her voice as she described the way her face was brutally attacked, we have witnessed the site of the vicious looking wounds, we have held her thru many tears because she feels like the freak at a traveling circus, we have been there to see the pain and sickness she is having to deal with. And to think that others are more worried about some man's freedom who should have had all his legal problems taken care of anyway. Why is everyone making Tonya the bad one in this and wanting to degrade her name? Hasn't she endured enough? Grow up and be an adult...and a responsible one at that. This is someone's health you are ignoring. Childish to me!

I would like to inform everyone of the fact that Tonya went to that house w/ a man who had just the week b4 PISTOL WHIPPED a 45 year old woman, and he planned on doing the same to Matt, this DOES NOT excuse the dog by any means, but is something everyone should know, that dog felt something was about to go down...and he stopped it. Not "trying" to make Tonya the bad guy...but maybe now she'll watch what company she keeps...if you run w/ thugs, it'll catch up to you eventually...

i know both the dog and the owner personally and i agree with most of you saying that he should be responsible for the dogs actions. i've been around that dog for almost 5 years and not once was he vicious towards me. in general, he's a pretty mild dog. intimidating, yes. but he was mainly pretty relaxed. he must of felt threatened for his or his family's lives. he was/is a very loyal dog and i hope SOMEONE takes responsibility for what has happened. again, i'm not calling potter the bad guy, but if the above is a true fact, junior (the pitbill) was merely protecting his family.

This is for those who think they know the dog or what happened. Matt was not in amy harm so learn your facts before your mouth. All you that think you know dont know sh*t, I own a pit bull and never ever had to worry about my animal loving some one, because I didnt teach my dog with a tazer to be a good animal.Im not mad at the animal I am mad at the own for being a sick individual, and for the fact tthat the dog has bit three other people and he didnt see anything worng with that. So for those how have the lovely negative comments come see what I have to deal with every day just looking in the mirror and see if you feel you know something or someone so well.
Thank you though to though that have showed so much love and support. Im am very thank for your thoughts and prayer. I had you all very close to my heart. You all truely a blessing to a friend of need. Thank you all again so much Love you all!!

That is not the fact her the fact is that dog was vilant and it had attacked others as well, and for matt he was never in no harm I was there I think i would know better then some one who wasnt.

HE IS THE ONE W/ THE MUG SHOT ALL OVER THE T.V AND NEWSPAPERS...SO INSTEAD OF WORRYING ABOUT WHO SHE HANGS OUT WITH...MAYBE SHE SHOULD WORRY MORE ABOUT WHO'S HOME SHE CHOOSES TO VISIT. I shot a pitbull as it was tearing apart an Aussie shepherd that lived across the street from it. I was at the house next door to serve papers, the pit got away from its owners (it was not leashed) and charged across the street toward me. At about the same time, the shepherd wiggled its way passed its owner, who had opened their door in response to my knock. The pit made a sharp left turn to clamp onto the shepherd's shoulders with its jaws. I then had time to hustle back to my truck, get my Bersa .380, and while the pit was eating this other dog alive, and while a dozen people are screaming their respective dog's names, put two shots into the pit's back. The pit died instantly, the shepherd died about five minutes later.
The sheriff charged the owners of the pitbull with some misdemeaner that I can't quite recall, and I was off to my next serve after they checked my CCW permit.
DID. NOT. BOTHER. ME. ONE. BIT.

All you people from Warrensburg must be from Arkansas, everytime I look on this site there is some redneck that cannot spell and Warrensburg is a college town and so stupid people doing something stupid that causes someone else some pain.
As far as pitbulls, I think they should kill every pitbull out there, they have been breed to do what they do.
