And just how do you know where he/she lives?

you cannot tell where someone lives by the address listed under their name. That address is the location of the internet router their computer picks up. When I am at work in VT, my address lists as NYC because that is where my interent is based,

I have a small home in NY and a house I live in (and pay taxes on) in Adams. I am a Mass registered voter. I split my time between the two locations. I lived in Adams for over 4 decades when I worked for GE and moved to find work when I was layed off. Now that I'm retired, I maintain both as I never sold my house. Hence, that is why I have interest in these blogs. There was also another "My Town" on these blogs a while back. When that person stopped posting, I took on the name. I am NOT My Town 2.

Seems like there are two different stories. See blog entry 21. You say there you live in NY. Where is your legal residence?

SO WHAT! Maybe we have family there or friends or elders that we care about.... I don't think those of us who don't reside in the mess we call Adams, need to explain our concern for the way things are being mishandled right now. Isn't it enough that we bother to take the time to be interested in Adams?
People like you who continue to change your "name" just seem to continue to skirt the real issues!

So, SLingshot, what are the real issues?
Seems to me that you are all talk and very vocal about people you disagree with, and when someone writes to defend those that you malign, you suggest that we change our names? Sounds a bit childish to me. There are a lot of people who read these blogs - and not all of them agree with your position.

At least I don't criticize without facts. I don't make blatant statements that paint everyone with the same brush. And I don't accuse people of changing names when there is no facts to support your statements.

Unless you are married to one of the Fab Five everyome knows the real issues, like totally disfunctional town government, the secret firing of the TA, that none of the stooges will talk about, and please tell us, what will the secret sacking of the TA cost the taxpayers?

It's unfortunate that our town board wrapped themselves in the secret cloak of executive session to protect their political careers re: the town administrator. I'd suggest to anyone concerned about this example of misguided mismanagement to call a board member directly or make arrangements to meet with one; perhaps all one at a time; to discuss the firing. Ultimately, it has and will continue to cost the town at a time when we cannot afford it. Some of the posters here constantly poke at "the facts" or "get the facts". Well, that's good advice. Let's start peppering the board with calls and inquiries and publicly call them to the carpet on this. This administrator business could and should have been handled far different then it was. Let's find out what they were thinking and why the approach was taken. The fact that the details are still not being talked about is quite disturbing, regardless of the reason. If the reason is because of the executive session and an agreement reached, then shame on the board for approaching the town's business that way. I have talked to two separate board members and have gotten drips and drabs of information but nothing that adds up to anything that I'd considered a cohesive approach to town governance.

The sad thing about this entire situation is that if the selectmen made the details public about what kind of agreement they came to with Ketcham people would have accepted what they did and all of this would have gone away. Instead they insist on keeping the details secret which will sink them come election time.

There was a rumor on topix that Albert Singer might be interested.
