Well, OF COURSE! There really isn't that much room. Even if people were to build more houses-nobody would be able to aford them! Me and my family actually moved to FLORIDA because the houses were just so expensive (ex: 700sq foot apartment in bad neighborhood=850.00$ a month!!).
