Am so tired of this low lifes taking over this city. I really believe that we need to bring capital punishment back. Shot and stone these fools that keep on shooting, robbing, and commiting all these se crimes against woman children and men. Also am tired of working hard to pay my tax money to house these losers!!

Any person that commits a crine with a weapon should receive a life sentense for that crime with no chance of parole. Lock them up for life and this will send a message to anyone that thinks about useing a weapon will think twice about what will happen to them when they are cought.

I agree, it's bound to happen sooner than later. It's funny because a lot of these crimes are committed certain race or gender but these types of crimes know no bounds. It could be committed by anyone at any time towards anyone at anytime. I heard about this happening this morning and I don't understand what these people are thinking. Besides, I am sick and tired of paying for these people to live in prison and having state or federal funded food, education, internet, and TV. It's getting out of hand, what ever happened to capital punishment? It may be just as simple as cutting off their hands or feet. That might show a slow down in crimes committed pretty quick.

These thugs no matter what color have issues. There are little to NO Jobs around. So instead of searching for one the easy way out for them is to rob some one else. It seems banks are getting to more and more of a target. Why don't we make it harder for them to walk into one. Bank members cards or hand scan all non members through a drive through. Lock the banks down makes since to me.

This is a crying shame. This poor woman trying to make a honest living has to be subject to this violent crime. Why are these banks not hiring armed guards? My sister who works at a West side state hospital said their security staff are not allowed to carry any protection what so ever and that staff have to sign a policy that states they will not carry any weapons or else they can be fired. Gas prices soaring along with everything else? I fear what this summer is going to be like in this city.

It is time to actually enforce the death penalty. One appeal, with a time limit of 1 year, and then injection time! Why should we have to pay for someone that commits this type of crime to spend their life in prison with 3 square meals and a roof?

Are the neighborhoods around the area still on lockdown also?

The truth is he is probably from out of town, possible just passing through. That will make it harder to track him down. By the way, HE WILL BE CAUGHT!

So why does an individual do such a stupid thing?
One, he has no morals. Probably never taught right from wrong. Possible a welfare child with one parent. No guidance or moral upbringing.

Drugs could be a factor. We won't know much till he's caught. But what would make anyone think they could even get away with something like this?

I assume that the poor women was shot randomly when he entered or exited while blasing his gun.

I beleive the saying "guns don't kill people, people who aim, whether random or not and shoot, kill people". Don't blame that gun he had. Blame the air head that pulled the trigger.

We need to bring moral teaching back to our schools and communities.

I agree with Liz and Person.

What the law need to do is send them to war and let them stay there until it is over.

3 squares, a roof, cable tv, books, free education! I am all for rehabilitation, but if they are in for life, why waste money educating them?

Bank robbers get 14 years when caught. They are out in 7 years. We need to change the laws to protect innocent, hardworking people. Something is very wrong.

I am going back to my safe little town 45 minutes SE of Indianapolis where I can leave my car keys in the ignition anywhere I go, leave my doors unlocked, and never worry about a school lockdown. Too bad I have to travel to this side of town to earn a living. That too will change!
