Unbelievable how after all these years they still have him locked up!! With technology as advanced as it is, they need to review the evidence. It was an accident !! Anyone with good common sense can see that. Parole Michael Fletcher. You've stole enough of his life!!!!!

You must either be related or a love interest to be so biased. Anyone without a special interest that knows the details of the case would see he shot her. He had no intentions of rekindling their marriage but instead wanted someone he felt was of his own caliber, an attractive judge. His wife and newly discovered pregnancy threatened his perceived journey. I hope her family members are at EVERY parole hearing to represent their loved oneS including the child he killed. WAKE UP

That man took a young woman's mother away at the age of 3 and you have the nerve to say he's innocent! They should lock you up too!

W all the evidence presented I think everything points to him being guilty! That child had to grow up w/o a mother OR father! And the other child never even had a chance at life! Satan had better reserve a spot for him!

The evidence is overwhelming; Michael Fletcher killed his wife. Fletcher shot his sweet, innocent wife in cold blood. Let him rot where he is.

I hope Michael Fletcher croaks in prison----let him rot. He is exactly where he belongs. I hope he never gets out of prison. He is a cold blooded killer--get it, Michele.

The only miscarriage of justice is that he wasn't convicted of first degree murder.
I wonder how he likes going from living the high life to being in a cage?

I just watched an old American Justice episode about this case That said Fletcher's first chance of parole was in 2017 So I looked in Michigan's offender website and it says he has a life sentence..what happend there?
As for my opinion he is guilty and because his wife was pregnant and he knew it. A live sentence with a minimum of 70 years sounds justified to me.
Did he get tried again for murdering the fetus maybe?

I don't want to say that he's is innocent for sure but after watching all the crime shows about his case and reading as much as I can find online, I think they should take another look at his case. I believe in the courts eye there was enough reasonable doubt for at least a Hung Jury. If they give him a new trial they could find that he is innocent but if they don't they could then get him for killing the baby also. I honestly think that there was enough reasonable doubt but that doesn't mean I'm convinced he's completely innocent. If you look at it through a legal eye that's actually true. They said that they couldn't prove he did it but they could prove she didn't do it. That leaves reasonable doubt just right there. Plus there was a ton of witnesses for the defence that made a big impact. The Jury did experiments on their own to show how the fun fell and that alone should've gotten him a new trial. Either way I think this case should be looked at again. If he's innocent then let him go already, if he's not then he's should be prosecuted for the death of the baby. That's just my opinion.

I agree with Rachael T, I'm really glad to see a new option on here. There was an insane amount of reasonable doubt in this case and every foresenic witness for the prosecution was successfully rebutted by the defence. The book A Deadly Affair by Tom Henderson about the case starts with an acknowledgement by the author stating he started out writing a true story about two beautiful innocent victims; Leann and Hannah, and the evil villain Mick Fletcher, but after eight months of research and interviews he wasn't sure anymore that Mick was responsible. I may not like Mick as a person, and if you could go to prison for being an epically horrible husband he deserves to serve a couple years at least, but I really get the strong feeling he is innocent of killing his wife. Just because the jury couldn't get the gun to fall in the same position (in their reenactments)as it was found in their bedroom, doesn't prove that Mick pulled the trigger. Stuff happens sometimes that would be near impossible to happen again. I remember one time my two year old son was eating Cheerios and he sneezed and the cheerio flew out of his mouth, up in the air, came back down and stuck right to the middle of his forehead. He continued eating not even aware it was there. We could try doing that amazing act again for years and never have that same exact thing happen ever again. From the first cops to arrive at the scene that were "stone cold certain" Mick was guilty the first second they saw him to Leann's poor family that assumed he was guilty because he treated their beautiful baby girl like crap, everyone rushed to judgement because everyone dislikes Mick. But wanting someone to be guilty doesn't actually make them guilty.

The evidence was overwhelming that he was guilty. Thank god you were not on the jury. People like you make me sick. I am so glad the jury had the sense to convict him. He really should have been convicted of first degree murder, not second degree. It was clearly premeditated. I am glad to see this killer remains in prison.
