That's right! People work hard for what they have. It's not right for others to be able to just take it & get away without consequences.

ya i would like to apologize for what i have done, But no car windows were broken nor, cars were damaged. So before you post comments saying things like they should get this, or that, read up on your facts before you exactly start pointing fingers.

Mr. Fox you are the last person to tell people to get their facts straight. You sir are a low life POS that had nothing better to do then take advantage of other people and their hard earned money.
The only thing in your favor was that the police caught you before a ticked off car owner did.
The court should make you tatoo THIEF across your forehead and let you walk around like that for the rest of your life.
You don't deserve to breathe the same air that us law abiding citizens breathe!

You know I understand that this is wrong, and a crime but in reality...you people left your cars unlocked. If you leave the keys in your car it isnt theft...its joyriding. if you value anything you take measures to keep it safe....they are young kids. They did stupid shit. Gosh it could be worse they could have been drunk and killed someone, and sadly sometimes drunk drivers only get 5 years. So do not be stupid when it comes to judging these kids...they are still kids and none of us are perfect - hopefully they learn their lesson and not become career criminals.

Laurie why are you defending them and their actions. They may be kids, but they are common criminals who now jump on a forum and act like victims.
Why should I have to lock down everything I own? Especially in my own garage.
I can tell you the reason, because those boys parents never taught them the difference between right and wrong and the consequences of their actions. The values of this society have become schewed to where we defend the criminal and blame the victim...That is B*LLSH*T!
Those boys should be in church praying every day that (like I said before) they got caught by the police and not some angry homeowner.
When they stepped of the street or sidewalk onto someones property, that was trespassing..if a homeowner fells that that was a threat to them, their family or their property, then the homeowner has the GOD given and constiutional right to defend what is theirs.
Like I said, they are lucky the police caught them first.
Those boys show no remorse for what they did..just look at their reactions on this forum.

Warrenese, Laurie isnt defending these kids she is making a valid point much like you are. You may not like to hear it but it is true. You cannot blame these kids' parents you have no idea what their parents have taught them...you have no clue. I do not either, but you cannot blame someone when you have no knowledge of the situation. Everyone has a past and the saying those who live in glass houses shouldnt cast stones...or whatever it is is true. If you have kids you would know that your kids do not always do as they are taught or told. We are all born with Free will what we are taught and how we act arent always the same.
And for the record being a member of the court system....if a homeowner took this matter into their own hands outside the doors of their home...the homeowner could be sued and end up in jail...wow that would be worth it wouldn't it? So if that is your mentality or anyone else's then maybe I will see you in my neck of the woods one day.

Carl she is defending them by placing blame on the victims because they left their doors unlocked.
Once again in this society it's blame the victim and coddle the criminal.
I refuse to hide and be scared of children who idolize thugs and want to intimidate, disrespect and steal from God fearing, taxpaying, law abiding citizens.
The parents are to blame along with society in general for not standing up to this behavior.
If I as a teenager would have done something like this, I would have brought shame to my family and I know that the court system would have been a cake walk considering what my father would have done to me.
But I didn't have to worry about those things because my parents, school and society taught me the difference between right and wrong and more importantly that there were consequences for my actions.

ARE YOU SICK AND TIRED OF ALL OF THE INCONSIDERATE IDIOTS WHO DRIVE UP AND DOWN OUR STREETS AND NEIGHBORHOODS, BLARING THEIR SUPERSONIC CAR AUDIO SOUND SYSTEMS AND DISRUPTING US ALL? WE need people to ban together to support our right to a quiet and peaceful existence! These "BOOMBOX" systems disrespect us all and it has to stop! If you are sick and tired of having your dinner table rattle and if you are sick and tired of being awakened in the middle of the night, please write us at:

To the carhoppers....
One thing is for darn sure, an ipod or whatever is not worth the risks you took. I'm sure that you really didn't think about all the possible consequences of what you were doing. On the other hand, I remember some pretty dumb and unkind things I did in my younger days and I'm glad that my boredom and lack of judgment didn't result in the kind of problems you guys are facing. Life doesn't come with a rewind button so you're going to have to face the music and hopefully you'll learn a hard lesson and be smarter for it in the end.

Just thinking - you are RIGHT ON!....I do hope that you kids learn from your mistakes. This is not a habit you want to find yourselves in. Jail is not the place to live the rest of your life...as for everyone else judging, remember you are not perfect and if you believe that you are, i feel sorry for you. Good luck to the youth in this world, the world today is not as it used to be and money and possessions are in high demand but do not give in to the pressure....learn to live and love what you have and keep your nose clean. you may not think that these things will effect you but they can ruin your lives.
