Is that not the 16th? And the other post, WHY?? Don't need them taking business from others that have been here for years. Vote No. to stop the City from letting them in. All the City wants is the road work, nothing more, other than taxes. and the City Council in Rockland is a big joke and tax the hell out of the working man.

If NANA is from NH, why does she want a store in this State. Maybe she works for that cheap outfit. Here today- gone tomorrow

Nana is from N.H. I do not work for Walgreens. My childhood was spent on Jefferson Street, I have family still living there including my 94 year old mother. I think the City has made mess enough in that area. There must be another cornor in Rockland to ruin. Why not put in the South End. How about the MBNA property? I'm sure the neighbors in that area would love it.

You are all mixed up Gal. A vote no means to not throw out the council's vote for it. Vote yes to throw out their vote for it. What does it matter if in the south end, it still is in town. BTW, the MBNA property is all sold and in use. While on Jefferson St did you know a couple named Brown? Did you know a Mr. Griffin that drove a Nissen bread truck?

Thanks for setting me straight.Got a little mixed up. So vote yes on Dec 16th. Guess I'm getting to old to understand this stuff. I just hate to see Walgreens go on that property. Bye the way I did know Mr Griffin, but not The Browns.

no comments from someone who lives in this town.
Always the out of towners making choices for the
people you live here. If you don't live in town
keep your mouth shut. Doesnt matter that you use
to live here

The people of Rockland arent smart enough to figure out that a new business will mean lower prices due to competition. Also the amount of people it will draw into town who will shop at other places while they are there so it will help their economy. And the taxes Walgreens will pay will help support their butts while they sit around taking their methadone and spit out more welfare babies. And real is right, that area already looks as bad as the south end anyway. Wake up and smell the coffee Rockland !!! Oh wait, they get all pissy about the smell of coffee and try to kill businesses like that. They prefer the way it smells up by the dump on the Old County Road.

I thought this was a place to post your comments, and have a normal discussion, but guess I was wrong. You seem to be angery about the whole thing. So I guess people outside of Rockland are not allowed to post a comment or give an oppinion, but I do have family and friends that live in that area. Sorry if I offended you by giving my opinion.

Don't pay no mind to Truthmaker. I have seen him on here for a long time and he gets pissed off if it is not his way of thinking. Sometimes he reminds me of another on here that gets pissed and wants to start trouble. As far as competition goes, it won't start with Walgreens. They are like Rite Aid and prices are high as hell. As far as the Med. sales go, I have been told that Goodnows has the lowest prices around. Have not gone shopping in Rockland for a long time, but feel Walgreens is not needed. There are too many places to get Meds now.

I am not pissed, nor was I trying to start trouble. I was sharing my opinion like NANA said the site was for. I am happy that the neighbors got what they wanted. I just hate to see a city push business away when the money it brings with it can help the local economy. Maybe they will find another place to put it now. But if I were them it wouldn't be in Rockland. As for Rite Aid they are about to go through bankruptcy so you needn't worry to much about them.

(The people of Rockland arent smart enough)

I guess they were smart enough to stop the jerks in City Hall, even if YOU think they are dumb.
