An inappropriate choice, unqualified for the job, and using the position as a stepping stone for higher office. Unfortunately, the lead toxic, backwoods crowd in Leominster and Fitchburg is blind to this.

this is probably the only win that makes sense in yesterdays election, it was nice to see that the voters rejected the double dipping pension scam that was being put on the voters, and they recognized that his opponent had already sold his position to the unions and if elected it would have been a disaster.

It's apparent that the voters interest was/is not about change at the jail but a disability pension. It will be business usual at the jail. If voters really wanted change and were concerned about the operation of the jail and sheriff office they would have looked at the qualifications. In the private sector Lews resume would have ended up in the "round file" as soon as it was recieved by HR, totaly underqualified. This race had nothing to do about "Change" at the jail it was about pensions.

The negativity continues from the Foley Horde. Grow up! Lew worked harder, plain and simple. Maybe the people realize that there are no places for double dippers!

Man you bashers are such sore losers! You do not even have the spirit of fair play to give Lew credit. If Foley had not surrounded himself with such losers, such as numerous Fitchburg City Councillors, all of whom are very arrogant, he may have had a little more support. All during this election, all I heard from his 2 head people,(Joe S. and Tom S.) was how he had the north county sewed up! Well boys, once again you did not do your job. You backed two losers this year!

That may be the case. If so, one message sent is that we are tired of the thieving liars and corruption.

I can't vote in MA anymore and I don't know any of the canidates, but I did work at the jail for 15 years and know what its going to take to change the jail and the Sheriffs office. Lew is not that change, this is all about a pension not about change at the jail. Foley has what is needed for the jail.

I have to agree, the focus became Foley's
" double dipping " not the job specs.

But in the middle of an economic crisis in our cities, states and in our country, it was a slap in the face to realize one person can collect two full time, generous salaries !

Even more shocking is the fact that the two generous salaries( one being disability pension ) would be paid from the same source....our taxes!

With so many people out of work, homes in foreclosure and families struggling to pay the ever rising taxes and fees, this became an issue about city and state government being free to spend our hard earned tax dollars without any restrictions.
What a shame

Boo Hoo. While we're at it, let's investigate this "disabilty" and get it changed to regular retirement so he can start paying taxes on the income, just like the rest of us. Oh, and one moer time "Boo Hoo".

STEPPING STONE, are you serious??? The best news I received about this election was that Glodis will be sitting on his couche for awhile. He was possibly the most underqualified person to ever win the Sherriffs race and it was common knowlege that he was using it as a stepping stone for higher office. If Patrick would not have had such a high following Glodis would have run fore governor rather than auditor. Lew is the most ethicaly qualified candidate there was. His experience as an ADA will serve him well at the jail and his promise to stop with the favors is a relief. 50% of the employees of the jail are stilol relatives of Flynn

Speaking of qualifications, how many of you Lew bashers voted for Barry O. two years ago rather than McCain?
Barry, the least qualified for the job, and it now shows.
Did McCain have better qualifications for the job? Probably, so how come you didn't vote for him? Hmmmmm?

Sorry, but Glodis is staying at the jail as a result of a deal made with your Lew.

True to his word Lew's making Bove the number two man and Glodis will run civil division. Surprise, surprise, this is what you voted in. More on the promotion list later. He's done and will be doing everything he's preached against.
