Build the casino and get some jobs. The nutcases that oppose it are fools. Jobs, money, and tourists. What else can Palmer offer? You do not have to go to Yale to figure this one out. Don't like to gamble? Don't go. Stay home and play BINGO.

Hopefully the mini-Mohegan Sun won't be as ugly as the one in Connecticut. Mohegan Sun is a hideous scar on the landscpae.

Will they be good jobs? Will the casino treat its employees well? If not maybe they would be better off with a Target or a WalMart in town.

A casino in every ghetto??? Palmer is far from a ghetto..... Palmer is an "old mill town" parts of it are a bit run down however- there are hard working people and expensive homes in new developments - Get your facts straight before you make stupid comments like that.

Sorry Miss Priss..I should of chosen my words more carefully.. ok, instead of ghetto , how about, Financially challenged !! Not to mention, ghetto does not mean people are scum bags... didn't you understand I was defending the population of that town.. I was saying that they use the old excuse of bringing in more jobs.. most of the people who will work there have never even been to Palmer.. so proof read a post before you start blowing off your lips !!!

Who wants to bet Mohegan is going to sabotage its bid so nobody builds a casino there. They don't really want to build a second casino.

I live in Palmer. It offers a peaceful setting, a good educational system, and low crime. All that will go out the window when a casino opens and totally changes the character of the town. Why are you even shooting your mouth off? El Mirage, AZ!?! You must be some casino shill. Shut your mouth and mind your own business.
