I agree with the last post. I would like to think that this horrific accident is playing heavy on the mind of the driver. How would they feel if this was thier mother or their spouse? People need to start taking more responsibility for their actions. PERIOD. There is no question of what this person should have done. I have one word....."COWARD"... People such as your selves don't go to heaven in my eyes.

It is maddening that the people who cause the accident are the ones that are able to "run" away. Without even a thought to helping the injured is disgusting. I sure hope they remember some day that they took a life.

I agree with all of the other posts, the person(s) who caused this accident and left a person to die, should be sent to prision for life, what cowards they all are. Wonder what the cowards would do or expect if there family member was killed this way???
She was mother, daughter, friend,...and nurse, and my prayers go out to all that knew her.

It may just be my imagination, but is it time to take stock of our personal priorities, never letting our loved ones out of our sight until we all know exactly what we mean to each other? The two year old boy killed on McKinnie st by a hit and run driver, the 22 year old man in a coma on Rothman Road, and who could be next?
My son, your daughter, my husband, your wife? We never know, so never part without a hug, kiss, or prayer. I am hoping that the person or responsible for these three latest atrocities, please come forward, for Justice's sake, and also, closure for the families involved.

Kim was our neighbor and a very sweet individual and she will be sorley missed. We will pray for Her and her husband and two girls. Let's hope that those responsible will be found and held accountable to at least give some degree of closure. God bless the Swickard Family.

I worked at Parkview with Kim-she was a kind person and a good nurse. It is a shame that someone who is an advocate for the sick and dying was left to die alone. The person(s) who were involved in this horrific accident are evil and I hope they are caught and I pray that our judical system does not fail Kim.
I was at Parkview today and every person I encountered mentioned her. It was a very sad day for all of us.
To the person(s) who caused this tragedy, realize this today you took away a member of our community who was a mother, wife, friend and a good nurse. You should be ashamed of your actions

I agree with the posts stating these morons should be prosecuted to the fullest extent...eye for an eye...however, where are all of these opinions and people when the jury is formed? Live what you speak and maybe then the criminals will pay and not the innocent people on their way to work to provide for their families

Jeffword how much of an idiot you are saying she should of worn a seatbelt. If the idiots driving would of seen the red light this wouldn't have happened. So please don't be a moron, would you appreciate someone saying this about your loved one if they were in this situation? no, you wouldn't. Just leave this family alone.

Yes, I agree that the driver that hit and ran as well as the individuals that ran as well should be flogged and hung upside down until they bleed to death but boo hoo to everyone that is posting without even thinking about the woman's own actions that probably led to her own death as well. Being a nurse and working with trauma victims who don't wear seatbelts on a daily basis and knowing what not wearing seatbelts can mean in a serious crash, SHE is the one that should have been ashamed of her own self for not wearing a seatbelt so she could be back to see her family, neighbors, coworkers, friends and everyone else after a wreck. She is the one to blame for not putting that seatbelt on that most likely would have allowed HER to walk away from the accident with only bruises and a broken bone or two. She is the one that was risking it all when SHE decided not to put that seatbelt on so SHE could walk away and be back with her family instead of in the statistics as another unthinking, uncaring mother, wife, friend, coworker and relative, WHO COULD HAVE WALKED AWAY IF SHE WOULD HAVE WORN A SEATBELT.
Obviously you did not see the pictures of the cars involved in the accident. Even if she were wearing a seatbelt the chances that she would have made it are pretty slim. And yes wearing a seatbelt has been proven to save lives...but it has also been proven to take lives as well. I have a friend who's relative was thrown from the vehicle and suffered from a couple broken bones...but if she were to have had on her seatbelt she would have been killed because the car was so badly crushed. So before you start demeaning a person in front of everyone please get your facts straight...

I remember when I was in school teachers have to put up with a lot of bad children its too bad they can't punish the unruly child. What teachers should have no choice but to let him or her disrupt and act a fool while the other students suffer and don't learn because of the distractions? While I realize its wrong for the teacher to ridicule it is also wrong for the Mom to cry on the news, she knows her kid is bad. break out the naughty chair or take away toys or something to punish him maybe he would straighten up. What kind of parent is she??? Its not like they didn’t write notes home warning his folks. I think the teacher was finally at the end of her rope with that boy. And its not fair for the other kids to have to put up with him even they know of the problem according to the recording.

Jay and David, I agree with you completely about the wrong that Jeffword is posting, such horrible things. Jeffword, unless you were at the accident seen you have no room to say the nurse was in the wrong. Just her being a nurse Jeffword, you should have a little more respect for her family. She could've had to save your life one day.

First of all my thoughts and prayers go out to the family, friends and especially her children. I just could not imagine what they are going through. Just because they didn't find the seatbelt on her does not mean that she didn't already take it off to maybe try to get out or something. But it doesn't matter what those people did is going to affect a family for a lifetime. Regardless, of a seatbelt or not it is very inexcusable. Their time will definitely come. God bless!!
