Has anybody else had problems getting your computer repaired and back from Les Pell at the Cyber Barn? I took my computer there on 14 Dec, 08 and every time I have been able to contact him he has said it would be ready the next day. Then he comes back and says that he had found another problem and had to order parts.

Now when I go to the store both vehicles are there but the doors are locked with a sign saying he will be back in a minute with a phone number to call. When I have called the number it goes directly into voice mail. When I call the number listed for the Cyber Barn I get a recording to leave a message. He has never returned any of my calls?

I checked with the Sheriff's Dept and they said somebody had taken out a warrant with the Warner Robins City Police against the Cyber Barn for another individual that couldn't get his computer back.

Yes, I have had the same issues with this man back in 2004, He kept my computer and never returned it and also whenever He was finally able to be reached, his wife said He had been in the hospitial, I tried the Better Business bureau but since He wasn't listed in it nothing could happen, He kept it and still has it, I think He took advantage of me because I was a young woman, He is a crook and deserves to be in jail or at least his place of business shut down, I cannot stand even seeing this business open whenever I ride by it everyday, He is a pathetic excuse of a human being, your story is so much like mine, He said there was only one thing wrong with it then avoided me for months!!! I finally had to get my then boyfriend to give me a new one because of the difficulty with this guy who has my computer in his possession still, it's 2009 and I never heard back from that louse. I hope one day He goes under!!

Guess I was lucky. I finally got my computer back. I filed a complaint with the BBB and they sent it to the Cyber Barn. When I called he was upset that I would file a complaint against him and said that he could keep my computer as long as he wanted even if it took 5 years instead of months. When I mentioned I had been talking to the Sheriff's Dept. he told me he would have it ready within the week if I would pull the complaint from the BBB. It took a little longer than a week to get it back. The original quote he gave me was for around $400. The final bill was $822. and some cents. He said he had to replace the mother board and the monitor. When I took it in all I knew was the monitor wasn't working.

sorry, but not much experience on the macs.... just a hobby working on pcs.... i can fix most hardware issues, and know xp pretty well.... good luck!!!

LOL AND THE LOSER KNEW MY COMPUTER HAD A MONITOR PROBLEM ONLY.

Forget that guy, He's a low life that needs to have his business license pulled..

I haven't had any experience with them, but I will plug Dougwoody Installs on Hwy 41. They fixed my laptops harddrive when it crapped out and replaced it with a 500G for about $100 parts and labor. They also just put in a 1TB drive in my desktop and optimized it for $180 with parts and labor. They also spent time with me explaining everything and asked if I wanted to go through all of the files and move them. VERY VERY VERY knowledgable and very fair on pricing.

How would posting real names verify any of this being true? I don't care who believes my story or not, I know how the guy kept my computer and for that I have no respect for some crook that still is operating a business that He rips people off at.

Simple as that.

I have had two different computers fixed by Onsite on Watson. They did quick work.

I have to agree with WRNRBSWMN. How would knowing our real names help you know if it was true?

All I wanted to do is get it out there that I had problems and find out if anybody else had problems. If you don't believe it you can take your own chances and take your computer to the Cyberbarn.

We have been going here for years and are VERY happy with this buisiness! Les is up front about prices, work, etc...Very upstanding guy! I have reccommended him repeatedly to others & will continue to do so.

He has had my computer for almost 6 weeks and I can't get in touch with him. On several occasions he has said it will be ready the next day and then I can't reach him. My husband works for the sheriffs office it think I am going to have him go in there in uniform to pick it up. I am so over him.9094

I've known Les Pell for 25 years, and dispute all the negative postings here. What's this, some kind of smear from competitors down there? Les is a man of great character. These posts are baloney.

Our laptop was taken in over a month ago. The owner diagnosed the problem, stated he needed to order the part and would have it fixed by the end of the week. A week went by and no call was received from Cyber Barn. A call was made and he stated the wrong part was received that he would have to reorder and it would be back in touch in a few days. He has not called, messages have been left, he is not returning calls and many attempts to go to the business have found it locked and closed during business hours.
The answering machine is set up where you have to leave a message as to who is calling and your next option is what this is in reference to. However, no call back is ever received. Pretty clever to screen your calls and avoid calls you do not want to deal with. This is a year old lap tap that is in his business. I wish we had read these review before taking it in as our experience is written above and identical to the other stories of locked doors, no return calls, story changed twice on timeline of computer completion date and problem, then all contact stops.
We will be contacting the Sheriffs Dept, the BBB and our attorney.

After a month of trying to get our laptop back from your friend Les, locked doors, will not return calls, I today call again and finally do something I never do...get online and read reviews. I find that our experience is as the people have described above. I am sorry, but I must defend the truth, it is not baloney as your friend gave us the run around the first two weeks and then stopped contact after promises of our laptop being ready. His doors are always locked during business hours. I have a first years college student who desperately needs her laptop back. There are too many people saying the same thing, having the same experience.
