Can anyone recommend a good lawyer in the Blairsville area to handle an appeal when you have been denied disability benefits from Social Security.

Good luck, I know someone who has to wait over 12 months just to get there case appealed(sp). The demands for S.S. are sooo high right now!

I don't have a dog in this fight, but I know and have known many people that are on disability and they are healthy as a mule ... I do agree that the system has been abused .... that's probably why it's so hard to get on it now, even for those that might deserve it.

look in the yellow pages...hope you knopw that any lawyer will collect 25% of whatever you are awarded, if you prevail...

the AVERAGE time is 2-3 years from the first time you apply, expect to get denied 2 times then an appeal...ga. denies 75% of the cases it receives...

Hey "don't" be so stupid, look up the origins of SS, it was for those whose family couldn't take them in as they got older, NOT all this new poor me crap!

Key word for you and your kind is entitled, was NOT a part of the original SS. Please do us all a favor and look it up before you post further, ignorance is not a precious commodity.

When you've paid any amount of money into SS, then maybe you can have a say, since you are a mere child you have none, subscribe to the saying, children should be seen, not heard.

What the hell do children with birth defects have to do with SS? Go to the March of Dimes or any other "defect" specific charity/research entity.

If they can't ever work, they are disabled. They are entitled to SS Disability and they do receive it, whether it be from parents paying in or other sources. Read up, meow. SSDI has changed; it may have been "formed" the way you describe, but it has been RE-formed" in latter years. Please research before "boasting" bogus information from years ago.

As I recall the whole point to my original post was... THIS IS WHY THE SYSTEM IS BROKE!!! AND WILL BE BANKRUPT BEFORE I CAN COLLECT!! It was NEVER intended to cover all the crap it does now!!

Love it, "bogus information from years ago", uuhhmmm, that's called HISTORY, I know they don't teach much of that any more, but maybe, just maybe you should get acquainted with some of it, it WILL effect your furture.

Remember it's "our" tax dollars that are affording you the lifestyle to which you've become accustomed.(Since you know so much about me, you should know your math is way off with the 1945 thing)

You can't collect SSDI unless you are eligible.
