Allen wrote: <quoted text> As usual there are two sides to every story. This is the side told to you second hand by your sweet little future son-in-law. Little white collar, brown nosing Joe who has probably never had his hands dirty a day in his life. In reality he is the one complaining because he has had to come out of his comfort zone and do some honest work for a change. Key words here "all the over time they wanted" which means not required. When not enough signed up for over time to cover the work little saleried Joe had to put down the coffee cup or risk a pink slip for himself. Other key words, "he HAD to come in". He was not given a choice right? Which is why Joe sits behind the desk in the first place and is well compensated because when needed, he does come in. The little man bitches and doesn't want to work, then bitches when he can't get overtime! When the little man signs the front of the check, then he can decide when he makes money!

Makin bacon wrote: <quoted text> Wrong Allen. That kid has worked since he was 15 and was the child of a single mother, didn't have a choice. He put himself through school working two jobs, so I think he knows about hard work. He deserves to be salaried. He worked the line just as everyone else to learn the company from the ground up and he worked overtime to get him the extras he did without going to school and coming up, so sue him for trying to better himself. Yes, "he HAD to come in" because he cared about his job and the reputation of the company he has worked hard for. So, sue him for busting his hump when some couldn't come in because they had to go hunting, fishing, or work on their car they didn't have money to take to a garage, but wouldn't work to overtime in order to have the money to have their car fixed properly. BTW, the hunters and fishing guys were the ones bitching about not have enough money to pay bills, but somehow found money for these activities. Heck no, I don't feel sorry for them, they had a chance to make money for extras. I guess you're like Mike, to heck with job security and looking down the road for rough patches, live for the moment, don't save any and let the government keep me up. Geez. Here Here

I was on the"overtime desired"list, which meant I got good money, but you can't turn the overtime down, if you're on the O.T.desired list, you had to accept it, or they took you off the list, permanently, but I didn't complain,as the money was great!

Owners don't keep anyone in poverty, it's the lack of self responsibility that leads to poor decisions that keep people in poverty! Living wage? I thought we were debating the minimum wage? You do know there's a difference, right? We're not a third world country for a number of reasons. For one, we have a capitalist system where the free markets decide ones earnings. You act as if employers just roll the dice to determine ones wages! Two, the poor in this country live like kings as opposed to the poor in third world countries!.....free money, free food, free housing, free transportauon, etc....! Yes, we are a rich nation, rich enough to take of the poor to a point to where most live off of the ones who do earn a living. The poor also has the Commucrats empathy, empathy they use to exploit the poor's situations in order to obtain their votes!
“A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship”

Anti American Socialist republikans like Pat McCorey and Thom Tillis ALREADY HAVE voted themselves and their Raleigh staff huge raises. Then they gave every lawyer in every lawfirm in the state an additional $50,000 tax break. Lets see now, WHAT IS THE OCCUPATION OF A MAJORITY OF OUR STATE LEGISLATORS? Republikans in Washington have blocked the nomination of Chuck Hagel (a republican who has served honorably in combat) for Secretary of Defense because he is "too reluctant to start wars".. Only chickenhawks who have never been in combat themselves would want to put our young men and women in harms way without a very urgent reason more important than profits for arms manufacturers and logistics contractors..

Buzz-- CO BMW, a German automaker, produces luxury automobiles, trucks and motorcycles. I guess a global economy real does help fiscal growth here in America and abroad. More importantly, automobiles are exactly that...a luxury item that enables you to get from point a to point b faster... They, automobiles, are not a necessity or a means to an end. Not everyone can afford the prices of American car company prices let alone German car company prices. Why is that? Could it be the board of directors and management made a business decision to off set organized labor costs by marketing their product, in north america, at exponentially high cost to the consumer, i.e. middle class Americans?
