Thrift stores for charity... Wondering just how much they donate and how much they pocket?

They just pick a price out of the air, for the items you purchase and then take the money.

Where is the accountability to the tax man and the charities?

Some are over priced especially since they have most of their items donated. Even if they charge $1.00 they made a profit. I was charged sales tax at the most recent two I visited in Hayesville.
