Does anyone know what gets rid of these large winged bugs, some call them mosquito eaters or mayflies? I looked online, and it just states they have short life span and are in mating season. I'm not kidding when I say I have swarms of these bugs. If you walk on the grass, they will fly around, their are hundreds of them. Help.

I too have them...we've had alot of rain lately and this is helping their breeding. I thought they were mosquitos, but I would like to find out how I can get rid of them before I drop $100+ bucks on a weed guy

Ya! I have the same thing in my room! I saw something in the corner of my eye and it was a very large bug, that looked like a huge mosquito. I got very scared but after looking them up on the computer for over 2 hours I got a good idea what they were. They don't bite humans or even eat mosquitos...thats just a name. They only eat nector sometimes and if they don't they don't eat at all. They are just ment to be born, mate then die. So have you tried spraying your lawn down with cold water? Try that. It will make them leave and it will bug the larva, so they might start going to someones else's lawn..Lol. Hope this helped!

You cant get rid of them. They breed in water, and spend about 2 years in water. They emerge for about 30 hours, and then die. The emergence should only go for about 6 to 8 weeks though. Keep your doors closed, use screens and screen doors, and wait out the emergence.

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Cancer

If you're busy with a last-minute Christmas shopping trip it will be easy to lose track of how much you're spending, particularly if you're in a panic and desperate to tick off every name on your list. However, you might be in for a nasty shock later on when you tot up the massive amount of money that you parted with. So try to keep a running total in your head or stick to a strict budget for each gift.
