Everett does not even listen to his constituients. He was asked a simple question at the Fulton Co. Fair and just walked away, ignoring the man who asked the question.

No, but I am sure she will try to be a career politician if elected. She is unable/unwilling to do anything else (assuming she is able to be a Senator)in the form of a job.

Missy seems to be honest in her views. Curren is only seeking another way to make money without working. He has overspent tax payers money for his own cause.

In 300 stories on Bell, Calif. salary scandal, only one paper mentions party affiliation of city officials

There have been a flurry of stories in California and nationally about the rampant corruption in Bell, California where the city manager was being paid $1.5 million a year and almost the entire city council may have been on the take. Ann Coulter, of all people, runs the numbers on the media coverage:

According to Nexis, there have been more than 300 news stories reporting on the Bell scandal. Guess how many mentioned the party affiliation of the corrupt government bureaucrats?

One. Yes, just one. Now guess if the government officials were Democrats or Republicans? Yes, that is correct.
Congratulations — you’ve qualified for our bonus round!

The one newspaper to cough up party affiliations, The Orange County Register, admitted that the corrupt officials were all Democrats only in response to reader complaints about the peculiar omission.

Lots of news stories on the scandal in Bell used the word “Democrat” or “Democratic.” But that was only to say that the DEMOCRATIC attorney general of California, Jerry Brown, who is running on the DEMOCRATIC ticket for governor, is investigating the Bell officials’ salaries.

So we know the media are aware of party affiliations. They just chose not to mention it when it would require them to identify shockingly corrupt government officials as Democrats.

Obviously, party affiliations matter a lot less at the local level, but this does seem to be a big sin of omission on the media’s part.

Curren Everett has had many real jobs,Yes,He has been in politics for several years, but,He has also been involved in construction longer. The Man has built many Homes and other structures in and around Fulton County, and continued to do so after hours and on weekends while County Judge and State Rep,He built the very house He lives in now,He has purchased several pieces of property, improved them with His own two hands, anyone that lives in His area will tell you,The Man is always working on something.....Curren Everett knows what a real job is,He knows what real work is ,and right now can physically hold His own with the most...

Im glad someone else is posting this story. Its in many counties and the folks are asleep at the wheel. Im researching other stories in AR and MO, KY and many others of the corruption of the elections, this story reveals the officials manipulated the elections also, and folks need to know how easy it is if the folks dont get on top of it now. The local gov. officials in many counties are litterally STEALING the elections and electing the LUCKY LOSER. We must take back our public elections.

If we want the same results in State govt. we need to keep electing the same people. Missy is the only choice for real, positive change!

What problem do you have with the state government?? One of only 4 states with a balanced budget. Decreased grocery taxes. Huge increase in college scholarships from the lottery. So what "real, positive change" do you really think Irvin can accomplish? She has never held ANY public office (City council, served on the chamber of commerce, dog catcher, JP, etc), much less had a real 8-5 job. EVER! So tell me why she will be good senator. Needing something to do is not a reason to be a AR state senator.

The reason this state has a balanced budget is because there is a state law which demands a balanced budget. It has nothing to do with who is in office. Curren Everett is a professional politician. His time is up in the State Senate so now he wants to move to the House. Let him get a REAL job. You have no clue as to what Irvin has done for her community and she can think for herself and the FREE people of this state. What's the difference between Everett and Irvin? Irvin cares about the people and not about her party! Time for new faces and let's throw out the trash on Nov. 2. We need real Americans to help run our country, not people who want to live off being a politician! You think the lottery is the answer to education? It didn't work so great in Texas with the money supposedly going for education. Taxes still went up. You like the lottery? Fine, but don't believe it is all going for education.

"Irvin cares about the people and not about her party!" So is that why Mike Huckabee endorsed her?The fact that Huckabee endorsed her is reason enough not to vote for her. The same Huckabee that cuts loose convicted felons,so they can go gun down three off duty police officers. Being a Dr.'s wife and dance teacher I'm sure she is in touch with the average Arkansan.

Obviously you are one of those tea party nuts, and know little of reality. Mr. Everett is term limited in the HOUSE, not the Senate. He is currently running for State Senator. Now that we have that straight, how in the world is Irvin a "real American", and Everett is not?? That is ridiculous. This man served in Vietnam for God sake. I am sure you are blinded by social and racial issues like all tea partiers, but please stop judging who is a real American. I think we all are, thank you very much.

My point is Irvin has never held a real job, and knows little about what it takes to find and hold one. I am not sure how her limited experience in anything qualifies her to be a state Senator..... Please tell me.
