A crash between a car and a school bus carrying the Ely High School football team led officials to cancel Friday night's homecoming game and dance at Onamia High School.

In northern Minnesota it is a long ways just to buy food.To get to another school district is always a long haul...but I want to know if the airlifted were kids who should have been on a bus ?

The three girls in the accident were: Emmy Foss, 18 of Bovey, Paige Anderson, 16 of Bovey, and Hailey Salo, 18 of Grand Rapids. All three girls were airlifted to St. Mary's in Duluth. Emmy Foss has passed away. The other two girls are in critical condition. I don't know any for sure specifics. Sorry

The title of this story is ridiculous! Emerald Foss (a schoolmate of mine, one grade younger) is/was WAY more important than a homecoming game and dance!

You're right, it's about 4 hours from Ely to Onamia. Another example of the poor writing/editing of the PP.
