Aww, are you upset because Bill has people backing him up and will stand beside him no matter what happens?

No. I don't care who backs him. If he broke the law he should be prosecuted. If he is found guilty he should be punished. Hence, if you do the crime, do the time. I pay my taxes on what I make. Bill should have paid his taxes!

Reading this statement you just made, the word if is used 3 times. Until you know what you are talking about, know the details of what they are actually charged with and why the charges came about, then just keep your mouth shut. Like I've stated before, people are ready to jump on the bandwagon to talk smack about them. Are you one of the ones that talked about what a good person they all were until this happened or are you one that just has to be in the middle of gossip? Did any of them, because of these accusations, cause any personal problems for you? You have a much higher value Of yourself and your opinion to think its really that valuable, to anyone else, to make it publicly known or are you behind a screen name because you don't want it to be known who you really are with this opinion?

I know what he is charged with. Direct quote from BDT..."indicted in Virginia Monday on federal charges related to a $10 million check-cashing scheme under investigation by the IRS and the US Attorney's office. 16 other people associated with this case have already pled guilty,

Direct Quote from BDT online also says Carl Blevins was sentenced to 5 years, now go look on the court docket and he's not even in court until the 13th of Dec. However, it's easy to sit behind a screen name and talk all the junk annonymous. Are you scared of what people might have to say about you and their opinion of you?

I don't see why some people are all upset of the posting of the names. It is PUBLIC RECORD.

I don't know about you, but I couldn't come up with $250,000. Also you need to learn how to spell- it's GOVERNMENT and RESTITUTION.

It is not the posting of names, it's not a secret who they are, seeing as how they've already appeared in court twice. It is about what these men have done for the communities and all of a sudden, when they think the money flow has stopped, everybody wants to talk shit. I can't tell you what they have or have not done because I wasn't there but it does piss you off that when donations are needed for different things, who is the first people they all go to? Mine Operators. Then you hear how good these men are for what they give back and try to help everybody they can. Now the allegations are here and the ball game changes. You didn't hear one person complain when they didn't pay for a ball uniform, when every senior received a laptop at project grad one year, when they loaned out money knowing they'd never see it again, when kids are provided with nice trips at the end of the year....not one complaint. So my theory is, it's all good as long as anything benefits them personally but when it doesn't, all of a sudden these guys are "dirtier than dirt". The posts are not all about right and wrong, it's personal vengeance in some eyes and that's fine too. Truth of it is, regardless of the outcome, life is still going to move forward and this is just something to deal with. People see and believe what they choose to, because even if a not guilty verdict is given, it's going to be said they paid their way out of it. Those that know them, know the truth about the kind of people they really are

When you steal, lie, and cheat seems to me that shows what kind of person you are. But then again, I am black and white kind of person- no gray areas for me. Right is right and wrong is wrong.

As I said, when you know the details of the charge, then come talk, until you do fully understand what's going on, don't offer up opinions. As far as the Bible, let's not even go there. I know as well as everyone else does, there are plenty of "Christians" that has lied, stole and cheated more than these men ever thought about. I'm not much of a believer in gray areas myself but things aren't always that simple. What you may find black and white to suit your needs, I may see the same thing gray. The Bible also says judge not but there's one of those pesky gray areas again. So come on down from that high horse you're on because I would bet if you'd actually post your real name, you'd have as many gray areas as AT&T does in McDowell County.

That was the point. This was not the first time those names have been made public. The post was wanting to know the names of those still waiting to be indicted. There won't be a indictment on them because they've already pled and are just waiting on a sentence. There are some that like to think they know exactly what's going on, the details of the charges, what the ones being accused have done and so forth. The truth is, nobody knows anything that's 100% accurate, until this goes in court. Just because I know my next door neighbor and we talk across the fence, does not mean I know what goes on behind closed doors. So, to sit and talk shit about the men that has done for a lot of people around here, is crazy. Out of the 15 names listed today, I could honestly tell you the ones I know, are all good people. This is just a situation that proves the government can do whatever they want to. People are gonna bitch about so many being out of work, no jobs in the county, no county revenue, but the same people are excited about the possibility of coal operators going to prison. Do the math, 6 operators, 4 mines total, 30-50 men per mine. No operator, no mine running, 200 men with families out of work. I don't want to hear about how the operators should have thought of that before, because if you know the truth of what's happening, your opinion would be vastly different. But I'm sure these are the only ones in the county that have ever been falsely accused of something :)

Read closer sweetie, I said I don't know what has happened because I wasn't there but nobody complained or questioned any money when they were on the receiving end. So, if anyone received benefit or used any of this alleged money after the investigation was public , are they right or wrong? Or were they caught up in their own greed and self satisfaction to care?

Nope, i know nothing more than anyone else, just not judging anyone until its all out there. I still believe in innocent until PROVEN guilty, nothing has been proven to me. It's all a lot of conclusions being drawn and gossip adding fuel to it. So, what was presented in as evidence that they are guilty? What I read was a statement from a prosecutor, but I want to know what was presented?

I think they have been proven guilty. You don't get fines and time in the pen by singing too loud in Sunday school. How is something published by the Federal Court gossip?
