I put my heart and soul into teaching. Sterotyping all teachers is a waste of energy. We are not the cause or the answer to this mess. I, for one, am going to work, doing my job and I don't appreciate the slam. I didn't go into teaching for an easy pay check. I thought I could actually make a difference in the lives of some young people. Please be more responsbile when you generalize teachers. You don't know us all and you obviously don't know me or my work ethic. What good is this doing for the students? How much is the state going to save? Whose head is on the block next? With the current mentality, no one is valued as a worker in states that allow this.

I take it you are comfortable with the politicians having it all? Pay raises every year regardless of the economy and the budget shortfalls? Expense accounts? Health care paid for by someone else? Full retirement after only one term? Sounds like all the things the GOP is constantly harping about taking away from everyone else so what's wrong with the elected doing without when they are constantly telling us we need to make sacrifices? Sounds pretty hypocritical to me...

environmentalists and private unions are the pitfalls of the taxpayers along with the public worker unions.these organizations are why ohio is no longer a leader in our country among states.time to eliminate the unions before its to late.

Do you realize that there are other parts attached to this bill? They also want to take away Head Start, where parents are able to take their kids to school before school starts so that they can go to work. 170 workers in Dayton will be let go. Plus, what will all of the parents do who need to be at work on time? This bill effects many people, not just unions. Wake up.
