I do not see Sensei Young is a fraud? Have you ever trained with him what is your name. But most likely I have never seen you in class. Sensei Young is a great instructor and is far ahead of his age when it comes to his knowledge and history of martial arts. From what I have seen he has come far from where he grew up in his personal life. I have trained with him for over 6 months. His form and the way he teaches Kata and Bunkai is great he gives great clarity and insight in what you are doing. I know people are going to rip on me for this posting but I don't care I know SENSEI Daniel Young abilities I have seen them and I have seen his heart. He teaches that a Black belt is not just technique but a way of life. He does not teach sport he teaches Budo. I have read a lot of negative posting on Sensei Young, I read one about him after my first class. I questioned him on all of it! He was honest, didn't hesitate and explained everything and had proof to back it up. From their I just watched how he moved, training in martial art before for this allowed to see how his form was. To be honest I would recommend him as an instructor. His concern is teaching not money, not how he looks just teaching. He is always giving to people and has an open heart. I am truly blessed to have found such a young instructor with his caliber.

If one is not an expert in a single, core art (20+ years of dedicated study) and all they do is put this and that together and calls himself a Shodai or Soke...they are a fraud.

Don't know either of the people mentioned but have heard the Young guy's name discussed in martial arts events...not a single good thing was said.

I know Darryl on a personal level and I have seen what he can do this man is said shit at what he does he has had students. And what makes him a fraud to you guys is that he ain't all out there with what he knows and that he don't have school. Well guess what Daniel young came to him to teach with him if he was not real why as u call Daniel a real instructor then y would he want Darryl to teach wit him. Daniel lost his school for not paying the rent there and u all call him real ha ha ha ha.

You can NOT call yourself a Shodai or Soke just because you mixed some arts together especially if you are not an expert in at least one foundation art. Calling yourself a Shodai or Soke is fraud. Those are titles only given to people with 40+ years of expert level and proven instruction in the martial arts...clearly which neither of these two have.

All martial artists, traditional or not, are exposed to other arts and learn from them. We all take aspects of our experiences and incorporate them in to the how, why and principles we teach. There are too many of young people out there that have no clue what it means to be an expert martial artist these days. They would rather live in their own diluted world and believe their own hype instead of actually spending the time to train to quality levels. MMA is nothing new, the sport of it is, but all arts came from the intermingling of cultures. To call yourself a Shodai or Soke but not actually be a master in any particular form of martial art, nor have been dedicated for many long years of training is a total joke and FRAUD period.

I have met many authentic 10th Dan Hanshi in my lifetime. There are humble, compassionate and kind plus know their art inside and out. Not a single one of them that was authentic was ever under the age of 50...not 1! Fraud is what a person does when they proclaim to teach "their own system" of martial art but have never been certified to do so. Just throwing crap together creates more crap.

What was posted about Shodai and Soke is not opinion...it is fact. You younger generation have no idea of what integrity, discipline, respect and honor are about...it is sad. Bruce Lee didn't fight what other arts were doing either. He developed a method of training to improve what one was doing regardless of the art they studied...he was never the founder of a system either as Jeet Kune Do is a training philosophy and never meant to be an art.

Just like most self proclaimed masters, who in fact have no true understanding because all they do is gobble things together and think they are the next Bruce Lee, you just won't get it. Yes your title is false and the fact that you called yourself such without ever earning it and having no understanding what it is about just proves that your skill level is lower quality at best. There is a much larger world to martial arts than just knowing a bit of this and that and calling yourself an expert...

Spoken like a typical 15 year study person would claim...that is child's play if you are not en expert in at least one art that you have been trained in for 15 years, not taught, not came and go from but actually had a good Sensei teaching you and attending classes with dedication and hard work. A good teacher will never claim to be great nor qualified. Someone good at their art will never claim to be great either. Too many of you video warriors and jump from art to art thinking you know it all are out there...it is sad none of you know what it means to be an expert and probably never will.

Hello to all this is Daniel Young from Lima, Ohio. After reading thank you all for your input, ideas and beliefs. For those who are indirectly wanting to know about me my main back ground is Karate. You know their have been many to walk a straight path and it seems those that can not obtain it or get recognized for it I am sorry. Their are many of you who deserve credit for what you do. As do I. I do not teach for money or sell my ranks out like some schools do. I teach non-profit and teach to help kids who have nothing. I have come from the same path as that. I belief my calling to be noble in its cause. As far as my teaching skill I feel as well as many others is good! Do I think it is the best? NO! The martial arts is a never ending journey. So even tho I teach my system of martial arts I am always training and always learning. And so I will continue. Regardless of what is said around me. It does not hurt me in way shape or form. I look at it like this... If the people chose to crucify Christ and let a murder run free. Then anyone with skill, knowledge or a cause would be thrown under the bus. I will not spend to much time on here and I'm not here to defend myself you have your opinions so I will not be blue in the face. I will teach my art you can teach yours. That is how this country is made. You think what you think and I think what I think but in the arts regardless we should respect each other as equals no matter how we feel to show the kids and our students the true meaning of the arts.
whatever

It is alright to respect a person who is honorable and truthful. You, Mr. Young, have spread so many lies about your own background that it is hard to believe anything you say. While you can dupe many people who don't have a clue any real martial artist will see right through your lies, self proclaimed rankings and so forth. I am sure you believe your path is right but it is one filled with falsehoods and lies. Recently you reached out to a group for rank promotion and to be awarded a Soke title, which they did give you, however they are not able to do so. You are not a developer of a new system of martial arts because you have not even mastered a single art form. I could go on but people in Lima, as well as all over Ohio, speak ill about you because you brought it on your own self through the lies and made up claims in martial arts. There is a letter on bullshido that you sent out with all your claims of rank and so forth on it. You haven't been alive long enough to even accomplish (legitimately I may add) half of those claims. You are just a wondering soul, lost with no guidance and an have an inability to learn martial arts because you believe you know better than those who factually do.
