Voters, now that the FontanaFirst agenda is on it's way to being fulfilled, please think twice when voting in the spring election. Don't let these inexperienced people dominate the new board. There's a lot to be said for experience!

There IS a lot to be said for experience, but who says that Fontana 1st does not have experience? I feel that they do. Who are you calling inexperienced?

This village is soooo ready for a change. They are tired of irresponsible spending. Tired of a president and a board that puts themselves on a pedestal and lacks regard to public opinion. If I had a penny for everytime the current president and collective chronies talked DOWN to the Fontana Public - I would be rich!

It is time to vote for those that can have public interest at heart - Time to vote for those that do not have personal agengas regarding certain local business - Time to vote for some people that do not have their heads up Tom Whowell's proverbial arse.

I think this village is sick and tired of him and all of his puppets. I suspect we will start seeing BIG change.

Don't let what inexperienced people dominate the board? To whom are you referring?

Actually Button, I'm not even close to being a WhoEvil groupie. Far far from it! FedUp and Tad, the top 3 votegetters in the primary have little or no experience at the municipal level. That was painfully evident at the candidate's forum on Feb 10th. By the way I was there, were any of you?

I unfortunately was unable to attend the candidates forum...What did I miss?

What was missed? The total unpreparedness of these candidates. One young lady kept reminding us how she had forgot this and that, forgot her resume, couldn't remeber this or that; the other stumbled and hem hawed about why he was running. You would think that if a person was in this type of situation COME PREPARED!!! First impressions are lasting impressions. I was not impressed. Jess Lobdell, you could have found much better candidates for FontanaFirst!

I can not speak for the Candidates Forum, as I was not there. I am not however going to worry so much about prior municipal experience on this one. Everyone must start somewhere. I am going to focus more on the intention of the candidates. Those that have had a brown nose in Whowell's reign, will NOT be receiving my vote. My vote will be for those that intend to spend more responsibly and will serve without private agendas.

It's interesting to note that 2 of the 3 FontanaFirst primary winners have yet to attend any board or committee meetings. It appears their intention is to not show any more interest in village government until after the April 3 elections. I hope they think this is not just a hobby. And remember that the monies you think the current board is waisting is NOT YOUR TAX MONEY!! It comes from the CDA funds. Your property taxes don't increase from CDA expeditures. Have any of you attended these CDA meetings to get the correct information? I highly doubt it. Well, get ready to go backwards into the 1980's when nothing, repeat nothing got done!

I understand that it is CDA money - not tax payer money. I am tired of people on the board taking condescending tone as if people can not grasp the concept of CDA money. Just because the village has the CDA money available does not mean that they should grossly overspend on projects. The amount of money that went into the beach house was RIDICULOUS! Regardless of where the money comes from, it should still be spent RESPONSIBLY! and BTW - the beach house looks like hideous.

tecmav28, you can bet there are more shades of brown than you thought existed. One group of brownies (King Tom's brownies) are being replaced with FontanaFirst's brownies (Jess Lobdell's brownies). Politics as usual....there's not enough makeup and perfume available to hide the new brown smudge marks and smells.

They all claim that Fontana should adhere to the Master Plan. How many of those have ever seen the Master Plan and understand what a Master Plan is? Master Plans in the corporate world are called Strategic Plans. They are constantly reviewed and change as their market changes. Plans are guidelines at best. They just don't get it.

You make it sound as if the only people that know what is going on in Fontana is the board. You forget that some of us DO go to the meetings. You forget that some of us HAVE seen the master plan. I understand a master plan is a guideline - but if you deviate too far from a guideline, why bother having one? You seem to think that we are all too ignorant to read the meeting minutes and look up the master plan. It's all on the VOF webpage. It is in the local papers. It can be reviewed at the Village Hall. And you think we are too lazy to look at the information that is out there? Puhleeeze! We are not as dumb as you think. What is this about corporate jargon - It is as if you are implying that the voting public is beneath the corporate world or any comprehension of it. Your debating skills are so poor, that it seems all you can do is degrade the public. Don't you have a better argument?

That's right - Fontana First Force - NOT Gforce - But, Fontana First Force!

Rumor has it Tom's chronies are trying to write him in! Just say say NO! VOTE POLLIT!

The candidates forum on Thursday should prove really interesting now!

Let's keep putting a stop to this! It is time for a change! Time to rally together and put a stop to him - AGAIN!

He's like a really annoying virus that takes two courses of antibiotics to get rid of--but eventually it *is* eradicated. It just takes a bit more time than the average annoying virus.

Fontana First people have had a hand in ho poorly this village was run, pre tom-w. FontanaFirst has it's own agenda, going backwards to the 50's. The people behind Fontana first have no clue what has been done or needs to be done, they cannot even say what they stand for, what policy or plan they have other than to be against tom-w. tom-w did many good things to bring this village up to standard. Forget tom, what about the ral needs of the village, this Fontanafirst group is not going to be able to handle the job, no experience no prior involvement no PLAN.

You accuse them of having an agenda - then you accuse them of having no plan! Which is it? and if you do feel they have an agenda - let's hear just what exactly that is! If you are going to throw around such accusations - you should be able to back them up!
