I knew Jon personally. He did not smoke, drink, or over ate. You try being a President to a company that host 7,000 plus employees. Yes it is front page news. You be surprise how many readers knew him. The Dailybreeze is to announce what is going on in the Southbay, regardless if you are well known or not. This was a GREAT man. It is really said that people like you would say something like this when a life is lost. I am praying for you. May God forgive you.
I'm with you Shelia he was a wonderful person who slipped into Bill Swanson's shoes doing his best to run his crew.

RIP to Mr Jones and condolences to his family, but I'd be just as happy to see Raytheon eliminated as a firm for their transgressions.

No Gert, you moron, from enemies that stem from the former soviet Union to the present day Peoples Republic of China,Iran and North Korea. As far as being wiretapped goes, it's prevented many attacks on us for 9 years. Besides who would wire tap you? Perhaps the producers of "Jackass".
You mean like how Raytheon attempted to complete a prohibited sale of satellite communications equipment to Pakistan for their 1998 nuclear testing by channeling the sale through its Canadian subsidiary, subverting US nuclear non-proliferation law?

Perhaps you are unaware, but typically people who are widely known (by many in the South Bay, such as Mr Jones)and pass away are often written up in the paper. This is no doubt an honor that will not be bestowed on you, whenever your time comes to be better off when you join God. And just because some believe we join God after our death, doesn't mean that our family, friends and co-workers aren't shocked and saddened by his passing.
Why would you be sad. I am very happy he is with God and family friends and co-workers should be jumping for joy that he is in heaven. The only reason why you all should be saddened is because your stuck in on earth and living in this hell!! So heck i am EXTREMELY happy he is with God and you should be too and not be sad and want pity because you are sad. Hooray he is with God in Heaven, you go Jon!!!

As a former Raytheon employee, I worked in SAS and remember Mr. Jones, although I never met him.

My sympathy goes out to his family. May your grief be short and your special memories of him be long.

Rest in peace.
