The only thing casino's will bring is more problems;increased addictions; additional police, emt's and firemen. All burdens of the taxpayer. Add to that additional crime, drug & alcohol abuse, gambling addiction. Add to that ALL the state jobs needed to regulate and enforce the new gambling laws and you the tax payer will see very little. Remember all the solutions the lottery was supposed to take care of??? It's a lose, lose idea.
Why not legalize drugs Steve? How many drug addicts are going out of state to buy their supplies.
Cut gov't. waste. Cut gov't. employment. Let privite businesses take over state run programs. Put green energy on all state buildings including schools. Install graywater systems in all state bldgs. and schools. And most importantly stop voting for long term politians.

I'm sorry but we have too many educated people in Mass who can generate good, legitimate business and industry to warrant the need for casinos. Fine for depressed eastern CT, not for us.

If any one wants to see the effect of casinos on a community, just go to Atlantic City, and walk two blocks inland from the strip. There is a large amount of urban blight that is the direct result of the casinos putting everything else in the area out of business.

Do we really need more minimum wage jobs in this state?
