The whole region needs this to succeed! Fitchburg has so much potential. Recently, I attended a show at the Stratton, followed by drinks and dessert at Destare. It was a Boston night out right in Fitchburg. At 1/4 the cost!

There is so much potential to make the downtown a thriving college/cultural/residential/c ommercial community. I hope it works.

Sounds great, but you may run into some problems when J.R.'s blocks North Street on Wednesday nights!

If that location has such GREAT potential, how come only one developer was interested enough to submit a proposal?

Because, as you may have noticed from another post or two here, the town has its troubles right now!

There was another developer but the proposal came in a day late. I'm also thinking there aren't many developers looking at spending millions right now.
