Since they have treated others as they would wish to be treated, the bigot chaplains should be dishonorably discharged. Praiz!

If only one chaplain resigned, what about the 41 that wrote Obama deploring the repeal of DADT? If they felt so strongly that their "rights" were being infringed, they should resign. Hopefully they will be dishonorably discharged if they continue to practice their shameful bigotry while being paid by the U.S. taxpayer.(And they have the nerve to call themselves "Christians"!)

All officers (including chaplains) have the option of resigning their commission at any time after their initial obligation is met.

My limited experience with chaplains ... since im an athiest, is that they are pretty accepting of everyone. I think bigotry in the chaplain corps is overblown.

I really don't think too many, if any at all, will resign.

If a clergyperson does not want to minister to a gay military member, they can simply refer him or her to another chaplain. This aint gonna be a big deal.

And I'm sure that there have been Christian chaplians that have ministered to non-Christians, and Jewish chaplains that have ministered to Gentiles.

I don't think ANYONE is gonna resign over this. These people are not stupid.

And why aren't you screaming about Obamaniac®'s illegal and UNCONSTITUIONAL war on Libya ?

If a Republican pulled this stunt, you'd be screaming for his balls, his head, AND his impeachment !

Did you get whiplash there from your change of direction?

Btw, I've said numerous times Obamas actions were just as unconstitutional as Bush, & Clinton, & Bush, & Reagan, & Carter, & Ford, & Nixon, & Johnson, & Kennedy, & Eisenhower, & Truman, etc, etc, etc.

As far as Bush41 & Bush43 is concerned, UNLIKE Obamaniac®, THEIR military actions, Iraq teice, and Afghanistan once, WERE (ARE) LEGAL AND CONSTITUTIONAL, BECAUSE THEY wento to ongress and asked for, and got, congressional approval for their military actions against these countries.

Please explain WHY Obamaniac® REFUSES to even ASK congress for authorization for his misadventure in Libya.

Actually, Bush 43's war against Iraq is illegal, despite Congress's authorization. The UN Security Council voted against sanctioning Iraq and, therefore, under international law, the war is illegal. The US is part of a treaty which forbids aggression unless (1) in clear self-defense of national interests or (2) sanctioned by the UN Security Council. The treaty, approved by 2/3 of the Senate, has the force of law. Therefore, the second Persian Gulf war is illegal under both international law and US law.

As for the current conflict in Egypt, the US is acting within the declaration of the UN Security Council and within the requirements of the War Powers Act. That act merely requires that the President inform Congress within 48 hours, which has happened, and that Congress authorize the action within sixty days. We have yet to see whether the action exceeds sixty days or whether all the Congressmen who were pontificating about Obama's lack of action will now authorize the action that they were promoting.

At any rate, changing the subject is a feeble rhetorical trick used by feeble-minded debaters.

That doesn't make it constitutional. Congress never declared war, which makes those actions unconstitutional as well.

My limited experience with chaplains...since I'm an atheist, is that a lot of them had fat, bigoted mouths during the discussion of repealing DADT Don't Pursue.(Not to mention their complete lack of public support for ousted g/l service members for all those decades, or public opposition to the pogrom.) I think basic decency in the chaplain corps is overblown.

Here's a link to show there were caplains who supported the dadt repeal.

Im sorry you have had a bad experience with chaplains. It doesn't suprise me, but not all of them are bigots. All of them aren't even straight.

Do you suppose that's what motivated them to turn in gay soldiers seeking guidance? Perhaps they weren't praying in the correct manner.
