DOUBLE WHAMMY?: Why is Tyngsboro going to start charging a trash fee when we are already paying for it in our taxes? Is it the Board of Health asking us to pay for this in these hard economic times? Tyngsboro LOST IN TRANSLATION: As I head out to vote to take three days pay away from myself, I challenge Chris Scott, and all the rest of the overpaid ...

Don't tax me anymore. I am already paying for my trash collection in my tax bill. Cut spending.

You want all the speeders on Rt 3 ticketed? Have you ever driven even one MPH over the limit? The real winner of the speeding ticket money is the insurance companies, not the state. The fact is everyone speeds. By writing more tickets we are rewarding the insurance companies, and their lobbyists. I have a better suggestion, everyone slow down a bit. The blatant speeders will still get caught and we will all get better gas mileage.

I guess I will have to start bringing my trash to the town hall and leaving it there to be picked up

Tyngsboro wants to charge for trash pick up now, I know they aren't using the money for road work, have you driven thru the town lately, you can't get from one street to the next without hitting a pothole. But thanks for the orange cones warning us the hole is there, would it be too much work to fill it

Chelmsford selling of surplus vehicles in all departments - Bull. Did you hear about the new truck they just got $45k, and what about all these black extended cab - decked out pick-ups with pin striping on them - are all these vehicles being taken home? Where is the motor pool located - I haven't been able to find it.

I've seen those black trucks with personalized tailgates and pin striping. Got my head scratching.

But the new truck I won't gripe about if replaces an old one no longer making sense to keep in service.

On Route 3 "speeders"- I think 55mph is absurdly low. This isn't the old rt3 with two narrow lanes, poor sight-lines, and short exit ramps. This is a new highway with a 4th lane ready to go if needed.

On mileage - if you want to spend more for gas, that's your choice. Nobody is forcing you to keep your house at 60 degrees (unless you're strapped). If you want to drive a fuel-sucking vehicle, go ahead. Just don't complain about the cost.

I agree though, that it is the insurance companies that benefit more than anything.

I wish we posted speed limits that weren't artificially low by 10mph. Post the real limit and enforce it. Then nobody can complain. Europe is far less ambiguous in that regard.

I agree - but - is this another decked out F-350 with pin striping - go down to Drum Hill and pick them up daily for $27k without the extended cab. I have only seen 1 person per truck
