City officials want permits pulled for paving your own driveway??? Are you kidding me?? Does kazanjian's nephew need an inspection job?? Please, some councilor's loser family member will submit his overly qualified resume as a former pizza delivery driver and will receive a newly created position as " driveway inspector ". His hiring will then be defended as " he was the most qualified " for the $38,000/year position. Lowell...what a joke!!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't you always had to pull a permit to pave a driveway?

To "Observer", while I feel Kanzanjian is a shifty as you suggest, this is simply good city policy. I challenge you to find a city that let's you pave anywhere you want.

I just had my driveway paved and I didn't have to pull a permit. I asked the company that did it.
