Anyone have any history on Cray's dam in North Walpole. What year was it built? Was its original purpose for a mill? I found a law suite online involving the dam in the 1930's but not much else.

You won't find any history on Cray's Dam because it was foolishly built in North Walpole! Now had it been built in Walpole, why there would be no shortage of rich historical data and anecdotal referencing regarding it.

Maybe it was a mill for making books on the history of Walpole.
