Good for them! I hope they succeed and remain a real coop for long years ahead.

Another communist worker's push, haven't seen a reasonably priced coop for years. First forced health care, next subsidized housing then transportation, soon no one will have any money to redistribute, -then confiscation of property property.

While the coop isn't a bad idea I think it is a diversion, the real purpose is the condos. Regardless of motive, once this prime land is gone it will never be reclaimed. There is a need for this type of housing in the area but there are a lot of available building sites away from Rt 12, which is turning into just another strip.

Right now Walpole and most of the area surrounding it has a lot of personality, this kind of growth will not add to that.

The idea that this has anything to do with Communism is a little ridiculous. Given the failure of the global food system we are going to have to start looking at food on a regional basis if we are going to have safe and healthy food. Thats why plowing up prime farm land to build retail and housing doesn't make sense.

Like the bumper sticker says,' No Farms No Food.' This could come true if we keep building on our best land.

Haha. Thanks for the laugh. That's just about the dumbest thing I have seen in here in months. Food Co-op = Communist workers push. Spit the chew out and watch something other than Beck. 14th Generation American huh? That's an average delivery age of your ancestors over those 14 generations of 15.6 years since the birth of the American nation. And that is assuming you are no more than that old yourself. I am sure you are older so that average age is lower. Try again Tea-bagger.

Since Beck believes that we should not count on the government but on ourselves, family and friends, I think that he would be for a co-op that is locally owned and operated. Try again - Me_be_trollin - maybe you should actually watch the show before you make judgements.

I have watched it from beginning to end 2 or 3 times in the past 3 months. I was disgusted. He would likely consider a food co-op far to socialist of an enterprise.

Here is a little exercise. Take two maps of the United States. On the first map, color every Democratic majority state blue and every Republican state red.

On the second map. For every state that sends more money to the Federal Government than it receives color blue. For every state the receives more federal money than it sends color it red.

See what you got? Two very similar maps.

Actually that exercise has already been done for you. http://voices.washingtonpost.com/ezra-klein/2...

The hypocrisy is nicely illustrated.

so you are saying moving white sands missle range to a liberal state would make things FAIR ? or the country should stop spending money on rural highways, farm programs, army corp of engineers because it's not fair you get food transported to you and letting people retire in rural states isn't fair because they take their social security income to where the cost of living is lower, they should be forced to retire in the liberal states where they earned a living but can't afford to live while retired even if it means they go broke.

go roll another one and take a nap.

I am VERY much against these "propositions" and "proposals" of AVANRU.

Several months ago, I tried "Googling" Avanru and the so-called partners.

Then, as time passed, more information became available - there was even a new website for Avanru. Wow! I was impressed - NOT!

I think these guys are simply trying to make money any way they can and to Hell with what Walpole residents want or can support.

They are interested in getting the condos in place and that's it.

I don't know how to keep them out but I sure do hope that someone does, otherwise, I think that Walpole will be stuck with a mess.

Methinks that the Avanru partners are suffering from delusions of grandeur and hopefully, Walpole won't get caught up in them.

Just my opinion...

You sanctimonious s_it, what I am saying is that the Reptards are all up in arms when it comes to government spending and entitlements, but they're the ones doing the most sucking at the Federal teat. Just like those Red state congressmen who pat themselves on the back for "standing up to and against" Obama and his stimulus program while they are cutting the ribbon at some project in their constituency that is being funded by it.

I respect most of the things that the Republicans claim to stand for. But I only respect damn few Republicans.

is there some difference when it comes to getting the military bucks spend in their home state ? Look at where the defense contractors are located and their union labor forces.
The farm & transportation spending in flyover country means cheaper food to the east coast liberals and CA sure doesn't turn down the farm money & road spending to move their crops to midwest and east coast markets.

How many people join the militry from liberal states ?

The news media owned by the ruling class loves to keep the citizens fighting with each other and blaming each other, it solves nothing pointing the finger at some hick in alabama or a yuppie city slicker in a Boston burb.

If you believe anyone could figure out where federal money is being spent and where the tax revenue is coming from you sure have a lot of faith considering money sent to a defense contractors corporations headquarters located in one state ends up being spent in all sorts of states and collecting taxes from corporations mostly located in a small number of states twists the flow of money to DC so it looks like lots of it comes from a few states. Than lots of personal taxes are being paid by people working for the government and government contractors mostly located in a few states and well paid people.

The vermont IBM employee's could be called private industry employee's, but how much of IBM's business comes from the goverment, schools, defense contractors, ect.?

It's all such a abstraction, the US versus THEM mentality pitting state against state is foolish for the peasants to fight about just like the black/white or rich/poor class warfare. The people really in power benefit by keeping the little people fighting with each other.

When are you going to learn shop locally and don't go over there. Now comes the test. Will the N.H. coop be the same of lower prices than our only Vt. organic tasty foods. Cow Shirt is better for you in Vt. than N.H. cause their cows are fakes. I'll spend my welfare check where I get the best deal. If I skimp all week I can afford more weed.
