Nancy -

That's disgraceful, that you would write this letter for Foley. Tom Foley is out on a DISABILITY Pension, he can be "up front" all he wants but the truth is it's a loophole in the system and it needs to be changed. Tom Foley should be ashamed of himself.

Tom Foley is a CLASS ACT. Anyone who knows him would surely attest...

This is hardly the most egregious abuse of the "system". He has made every effort to respond to his pension situation. He could have taken the road nearly every other politician in this corrupt state takes, and use backdoor, underhanded methods to pillage from the taxpayers. At least he has the courtesy to be upfront. Ask him about it, he'll gladly make time to explain himself to you.

I asked, he answered, and now he has my, my family's and anyone else I can convince's vote!

As Tom Foley mentioned in todays telegram, he worked for his pension, if you have a problem with him running for Sheriff because he is collecting a disability pension take that up with state law makers, he is definitly more qualified to run the jail than any of the other canidates. The last thing the jail needs is a political hack who got to where he is because of his daddy, the other two have absolutly know clue what goes on at the jail. Being a lawyer or a state rep does not make one qualified to run a institution with 400+ employees and 1200+ inmates. Like his pension or not Foley is by far the only qualifies canidate to be Sheriff.

I find it APPALLING that Bove who has been coddled and taken care of his whole career is even running for this office. He never graduated high school,he never worked the blocks and he would simply be a puppet for his backers. He is the least qualified for the position. The kiss of death to his campaign was Frisch writing a letter for him. The good old boys are scared and paniking, they picked the wrong straw to run. He could never control his goons, they would run the jail not him. SAT NO TO BOVE.

As a tax payer and for all the people who are out of work and those who are losing there homes I ask you when is enough enough. People like the writer of this article would support such a greedy person who collect 112,000 tax free disabillity pension along with full health care and now that isn't enough so he wants us to vote him in office so he can collect another 93,000 on top of this. I ask you the tax payers of massachusetts to stand and vote no to this double dipper Foley. He couldn't catch Whitey Bulger but he did learn somthing from his brother Billy Bulger and that is how to take advantage of the tax payer.

Tax payers have to take a stand against double dipping Foley or we send the wrong message to Boston. Foley couldn't catch Whitey Bulger But he Did learn somthing from his brother Billy Bulger and that is how to take advantage of the tax payer. Bove Sept 14th 2010

Dear "Seriously", The last time I heard a politician referred to as a "class act" is when my sister referred to candidate Barak Obama as a "class act"--and she was serious too. Well we all know where this "class" got us now, don't we??? Come to think of it, Tom Foley does resemble Obama--when I hear him speak of his accomplishments and how he will manage if he becomes the Sheriff of Worcester County I think of Hope and Change--I "HOPE" he goes back into retirement with his very lucrative tax payor paid pension. This will allow real honest "CHANGE" to occur in the management of the Worcester County House of Correction. Vote for Lew!!!

In response to Mt Woman... I would assume by your comment that Lew is also exempt from being a "class act", right?? I mean, he is the most weathered politician in the group, right?

So if I understand your message correctly...As long as a double dipper smiles and shakes your hand while the other hand is taking the money out of your pocket your ok with that...Its this type of mind set that is wrong with this state. I guess we all should go to you when we want some money then even if we collect a 112,000 tax free pension w/ health insurance.

I understand your frustration and that you want the tax payers to forget about Mr.Foleys pension issue. As I have stated With all do respect for this guy, The only thing he learned in tracking Whitey was from Whiteys brother Billy and that was how to take advantage of the tax payer. This isn't gonna go unnoticed by anyone...sorry can't stand for double dipping. The only score you should count will come in 2 weeks Sept 14th... Go Tea Party

27 yrs of running a prison? are you talking about Bove? he never even worked the cell blocks. he never ran the jail, he was/is one of many hacks who got handed a desk job with a big pay check, all because of daddy. Bove never "Ran" the prison. I worked there for a long time, he never ran anything.
