Nice that the same person voted 6 times and another voted several times as well. OYE! Are you people from IRAN? Get a freakin life!

How would you know that??? It don't say who voted and how many times.
No matter, I read the articles and this guy said what me and many other us former parent/coaches have bitched to each other about for many years!
Nothing new. Hes just saying it in public. That man in charge was dug in too deep for anyone to try to do anything about his antics and he had a way of taking it out on ya or your kids if you challenged him so nobody didnt.

Jim is a class act and one of the more knowledgeable baseball guys around.
He is well respected in the New England AAU circuit and always seemed to find a way to get the most out of his players. Despite occasionally being outgunned, he masterminded some savvy strategy to compete deep into the New England Championships.

I have been involved in the AAU Baseball arena as a Coach & Director for a dozen years and he is one of the few who could pull off being a Parent/Coach because of ability to teach the game and his uncanny knack to connect to his players on their level.

Funny, I live in Weymouth! I'd venture to guess that I am not the only guy in the world who's ISP is routed through there.

I would just like to start off by saying Coach Derochea is the best Baseball coach I have ever played for. Not only does he explain all of the aspects of the game of baseball professionally he never once took anything out on any of his players. Whether it is a player making an error or messing up a play he is always calm and explains the situation so you understand what to do next time around. The only words I could use to describe coach Derochea with are Loyal, respectful, educated and sincere. Overall, not only am I grateful to be able to play for Coach Derochea I am grateful for the baseball knowledge that he has passed on to me. . Thanks for the guidance coach.

FEEL GOOD ABOUT YOURSELF? I HOPE YOU DON'T THINK I POSTED THIS POLL? NO WAY!

But, I want to thank whoever put up this little poll, because it obviously backfired on you. One of the kids who play for me, told me about this site last Sunday and I swore I wouldn't get on it, but my kids found it and thought it was a hoot and showed it to me.

To the point of someone above, I did not post any of the items above, nor did I post this poll...nor do I advocate personal polls such as this, for better or worse.

I'm not interested in being BR President, SHS Manager or to move out of town for that matter, hahaha, but if I had a VOTE it would be
TO BE PART OF A SMALL, COLLABORATIVE TEAM, MADE UP OF BASEBALL-MINDED PEOPLE FROM STOUGHTON YOUTH BASEBALL, BABE RUTH, LEGION & SHS THAT WOULD INVESTIGATE AND FORMULATE A COMMON "MISSION" & CURRICULUM FOR STOUGHTON BASEBALL, GEARED AT TEACHING THE KIDS THE SKILLS THEY NEED AT THE RIGHT TIME (AGE LEVEL) GEARED TOWARDS GIVING THEM THE SKILLS, FUNDAMENTALS, KNOWLEDGE & UNDERSTANDING OF BASEBALL THAT EVERY HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE WHEN THEY STEP ONTO A HIGH SCHOOL FILD FOR TRYOUTS. THE HIGH SCHOOL COACHES ARE IMPORTANT, BECAUSE THE STRATEGIES AND SCHEMES THEY UTILIZE, SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE FOUNDATION OF THE CURRICULUM TEACHING, SO THE HIGH SCHOOL COACHES CAN CONCENTRATE LESS ON TEACHING THEIR PHILOSOPHY FROM SCRATCH AND MORE ON THE ADVANCED FUNDAMENTALS!

SECONDARILY, THIS "TEAM" SHOULD HAVE AN AMICABLE PHILOSOPHY ON THE LEVELS OF PLAY FROM AGE 13 ON UP AND, LIKE ALL OTHER AMERICAN TOWNS, SHOULD ENCOURAGE KIDS TO PLAY AT OR JUST ABOVE THEIR LEVEL (TO IMPROVE). THIS MAY INCLUDE THE PROPOSITION I HAVE THROWN OUT THERE BEFORE, TO HAVE ONE TRYOUT, THEN HAVE THE LEGION COACH PICK HIS TOP 8-10, THEN COLLABORATE ON THE FINAL SPOTS WITH SR. BABE RUTH, KEEPING THE BEST INTEREST OF THE KIDS IN MIND. i.e. if the Legion coach wanted to pick a 15 year old to fill out his roster and he was a non-pitcher who would likely play 50%-70% in Legion, he may be better served to play Sr Babe Ruth for 1 more year, playing 80%+ of the time.

So, thats my 1 and only take & look at this poll and my opinion on what SHOULD be done, if Stoughton Baseball is to flourish, in the future!

Thanks...over and out! ;-)
