Full story: Berkshire Eagle

In Berkshire Superior Court yesterday, Raymond M. "Mickey" Dunham Jr.'s family and friends shared fond memories of a good boy who went on to become an even better father.

Real shame that this happened. Shame for everyone, including the inmates. I don't know Mr. Dunham and I am sure he was a well respected person in the community. I doubt that I would know the inmates either. It was probably for the best that Mr. Dunham pled guilty and I do hope he comes through this as well as he possibly could. I do have a question as to something like this happening before but I hope it hasn't. Absolutely no winners here at all.

Yes this certainly will inspire confidence in the people we entrust to keep us and the inmates safe. This is just the one who got caught.

I am sure these inmates did not have a choice. This is an abuse of power. Inmates are at the mercy of their guards. To have a guard take advantage of this situation should be punishable by a lot more than a year and a day.

I was in jail in 97/99 Mickey allways bent the rules. However it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy like it said in the old court house holding cell "you play, you pay." I mean what was he thinking those girls are addicted to drugs and potentially have diseases it is
disturbing. My heart goes to his family they are the real victims here. Hey Mickey I hope you were as fair to "Bubba" as you were to me.

Well now Dunham can have all the sex he wants in the big house. Oh i'm sure there are some inmates there that will remember him and Dunham will now be on the receiving end. To bad for the family. But look on the bright side, when Dunham gets out, his kids will have two moms.

What is the difference between what Micky and what Bill Clinton did? Nothing in my eyes. The only difference was in the punishment. Clinton walked.

The difference is that Monica was a very willing partner, and if the truth be known, had more than a passing interest...ever hear of "sleeping your way to the top"? Happens every day.

I'm sure the jails are full of good fathers and husbands. The priest should have stayed out of it.
He got off light in my opinion. Who can anybody trust anymore?

Its a he said she said case. You people are ignorant and absolutely disgust me. You have nothing better to do than to judge other people. Thats pathetic. You have no right. Why dont you take a good look in the mirror?
What would you do, plee guilty for only one year away from your children, or go to trial and get up to 10 years? innocent people do plead guilty and so called victims do lie.

I feel that he and his family have probably suffered enough. He had everything taken from him, now he is being taken from his children. I wonder if he plead guilty and, in fact was not. The so called justice system states INNOCENT until proven guilty, but if you don't plead guilty, then you're really screwed. I have seen many individuals surrender their innocence out of fear. My thoughts and prayers are with this man and his entire family. I am curious to see how long it will be before the so called victims turn around and sue the corrections department. To all of you that have never made mistakes and can obviosly throw stones...lost freedoms, sgt. schultz, scotty, Just unfair, part timer...because I am sure you can pass judgement against anyone because it seems by what you are writing, you people are PERFECT. I still am not buying this man's guilty plea...This man served our country in the Kuwaiti war(by helping to protect all of you negative so called "perfect" people), then he worked in corrections for almost 18 years with an unblemished work record...I am wondering if any of you naysayers have even held a job that long??? Why doesn't everyone stop passing judgement on a MAN that suffered quite enough and get something positive in your own lives to talk to others about, instead of pointing out alleged negatives of others...Before you know it everyone will have their own judgemnet day...with GOD
