"Department's aerial ladder aimed water into the flickers of amber amid heavy smoke, which puffed from the eaves and second-floor windows into the black sky."

Is the person that wrote this a poet or a reporter?

When you vent a window, you take out the whole thing, not just the windows and screen. Besides, that was alot of butt busting for a vacant house that was probably lit off by some scumbag arsonist.

West End Fire Co. Palmerton was called out to this fire, too. Slatington asked for their ladder truck to come. Just went by there. The inside looks all gutted.

Slatington was only one of many companies there. These volunteers put their lives on the line to fight these fires for people like you.If it was your house you would have a fit about it. Give these find people credit for their actions and use of vehicles. Try coming to one of the scenes and helping them. I'm sure they could use more help.

Yea, they have used the ladder before this is not its first big fire. On arbor lane in the bourough of slationgton their ladder ran the entire call it had all four of its attack lines and it had the arieal waterway in use

Bored volunteers. That's how they usually start.
No people who think they can get away with it and collect insurance money are people who start them. I love how u criticize volunteer everychance you get, but i bet if a paid firefighter started a fire you would defend him the whole time. Get over the volunteer factor. We do all the same jobs just differently.

Maybe we dont care what you think you know. Just because you hate volunteers does not mean they are arsonists and stand around doing nothing. On this building they made an attack but were not overly aggressive since it was vacant. They made an interior attack while being safe since the buildings basement steps and i think the steps to the second floor are gone. And since i live acroos the street i know the house was well involved before the initial dispatch.

You give all firefighters a bad name. You are the one accusing people of setting fires. The way it sounds you never see any fire so if a volunteer does he had to set the blaze. We are in the business of saving property and lives. We dont set fires we try to teach people to prevent them. We dont know if it was arson we didnt get a report yet so you think it was maybe your the one who sets fires and likes to bust on people and say volunteers do it. I dont care what your problem is with volunteers, i dont care if you have a problem with me, I care about doing what i can to help people, and if being a volunteer is what i can do im gonna do it.

Don't even bother with this guy, he's just an insignificant loser who has too much time on his hands. He's too afraid to come out and say who he is because he's a little wimp. I doubt he's even a firefighter.

LOL, so it is obvious that the wackers who set the fire used plenty of accelerants, and 'not overly aggressive' means 'stood around and watched it burn'!
You live across the street, maybe YOU set it?
Were you lonely and bored and craving attention?
