Right on! Support our American farmers, especially the small ones. |

They will never make as much money farming 500 acres as they would to farming 5 acres of government control hemp. For distribution from high quality medicianl to recreational smoking plus clothes to newspaper and hundreds of other uses of the hemp plant.

You are buying into the reason hemp growth was outlawed. The hemp plant is in the same family as the marijuana plant, but does not have the same medicinal properties. The outlawing of hemp is just another idiot error on the governments part. Hemp was a major crop of our founding fathers. George Washington was a major grower of hemp. I am sure pot was also grown but hemp was used to make sail cloth and clothing and rope. At one time we were the main supplier of hemp to the world. Today we must import hemp made products from other countries. There is no reason our farmers could not be producing hemp today except for idiotic congressmen. We should legalize hemp AND marijuana. Two of the most destructive drugs in the world, tobacco and alcohol, are legal, but pot, which over a thousand studies have shown to be non toxic remains outlawed.. Our drug laws are insane. 60% of the people sitting in prison today are in there for some drug related crime. The majority for the possession of pot. It costs a minimum of $50 a day to keep them locked up. We spend more on prisons and prisoners than we do on college education today. Why? because politicians use the fear of drugs to get reelected. Just think for a moment, who would you rather have driving towards you. A guy who had smoked a joint of a guy who had drank a six pack of beer in the last hour? |
