All the staff is not quitting.... Just the ones who are too lazy to work. Lawrence Hall as many people who have been there a long time.

And if you are a family member and you think its so bad, why don't you take your family somewhere else.

Lawrence Hall has some great nurses and they are not leaving. If any have left, they are probably the ones who started this thread just to get something started. I have had relatives there for years and know lots of the nurses. The ones that have left were lazy and did not want to follow rules. If you are not dependable and do not want to work, you will not last there, thank goodness.

My relatives have been and are at Lawrence Hall. They have had great nurses and great care there. The nurses that were not good did not stay long either because they were fired or could not handle the job. I think LHNC is one of the best in the state. We could not have asked for better care than what our loved ones have received there.

Sherry, I am talking about the ones who only work there for a short time, quit or get fired then get on here and mouth about how bad it is there. I know you were great and there are lots of great people working there now. Wish there were more like you. Three years of dedicated work and loyalty to the patients is great. I know it is hard work and you have to be a special person to do it. But I see no reason for someone to get on here and bad mouth LHNC even if they had a bad experience working there. I know lots of nurses who have been there a long time. It is not for everyone.

How'd you get a job at the hospital? Not a nursing job or anything of any substance. You're grammar is awful!!!!

Long Term Care is the most rewarding place to work at. You are working for the most amazing elders who have spent their life time caring for everyone they came in contact with and never once complained. I know people get tired and become complacent in the work place but I feel that it takes someone with a caring heart and up to challenges to work in Long Term Care. I am a former employee and I can tell you that Lawrence hall was built on hard work and caring hands and to continue to have those strong caring hands holding it up. We all have to get past our personal issues... When JB left, Lawrence Hall went through many changes but there is a awesome Lady who is the administrator and she will continue the vision for Lawrence Hall and I feel that she is strong and willing to meet any challenges. There is an outstanding Social Director who's name is Karla who will go above and beyond to ensure the rights of the elders who reside at LHNC.... We should be thankful for all the outstanding employees, hard working people as LHNC has. I visit and the elders seems very happy and interaction between staff and elders is truly honest and heart felt. Most of all the most amazing elders should be the only thing we think of while at work because we are “serving” them and only them… In order to enjoy our job or in order to feel free and grateful is to only think of what we can do to make our work place better for the elders…. How we can make a difference today in touching someone’s life today… Thanks to all the former employees, new employees and those who has been there through the ruff times…. Good luck and God Bless

I was there a couple of weeks ago visiting to see if i would want to put my grandmother there and there was a CNA being down right rude to this poor old man... I know that there are some good CNA's and LPN's but not nearly enough... but if I had to pick between there and the walnut ridge nursing and rehab I would pick lawrence hall. As for my grandmother i'm not putting her in a nursing home cause there are always the bad nurses or CNA's that could seriouly hurt her. I think some of them don't care as long as they hurry up and get them done so they can smoke.
