They have always wanted to control the legislature so they have that tiger by the tail, now lets see if they can tame it.

The newspapers indicate they are makeing a real mess of things in Little Rock. It seems they are trying to regulate the poor and deregulate the rich. Why don't they stop doing pennie annie stuff anf get on with helping our economy. Geeze, I think we might be better off if they only met every ten years.

THe new legislators seem to be inexperienced and lost. They have local agendas that they are trying to force on the whole state. I think we out to change the term limit law, it has put a bunch of nuts in there even though it took out a few crooks. Can win for losing it seems

Examples please? It is now harder to kill your unborn baby and harder to find out who has a carry permit. Is that your beef?

There is not an anti abortion law in this state that would have passed had it not been for the Democrats you nut! Most Democrats in Arkansas are against abortion, period. For years the only people who could even afford abortion in this town were Republicans. Now you want to take credit for the laws against it. But you know the difference in the Republicans and the Democrats on this issue? The Democrats first ask their women about the issue.

Let's see now. The Democrats have been in control of the Legislature since 1876 and not passed ANY anti-abortion laws and the first year the GOP has the majority (and the votes) to pass it over Demo objections some Demo's crawl our from under the rocks where they have been hiding and vote FOR some sensible controls. Seems they could not kill the bills in committee like they have for the past 20 or so years and avoid going on the record. If those "conservtive" Demos could have passed it why did they not do it the year before, or the year before that...? You bet your ignorant bippie the GOP got the job done over Demo objections.

Ole, you are either too old to remember or have had your head in the sand. Every anti abortion bill in state law, and there are several, ask Family Council organization, have all been passed under Democratic controlled legislatures. The white knight didn't just arrive! He rode a donkey for several years.

The Republican are letting us down. THey have the votes in Congress to send a bill to the states doing away with abortion but they have not. They control both houses of the state legislature but they have not send a bill to washington requestion such action. They had G.W. Bush as president but he did not put a constitutional amendment before Congress. I say they are full of hot air and are not doing anything is except put a bandaid her and there to stop abortion. They just like to ride it into the next election.

Well now, your Democratic Governor VETOED the anti-bortion bill yesterday. But it got 80 of 100 votes when it passed the House. Today on the vote to override the veto most Demos either voted no or walked out and did not vote. So much for their conservatism. But it got overrode anyway without Democratic support. Ratliff was one who did not vote the second time or voted not to override ergo he voted for aborting 20 week old babies inutero. ONe day he and Beebe will stand before the bar and answer for those votes. Beebe just cooked his Senatorial bid.
Unconstitutional

United States

The referenced law is unconsitution regardless of what I preference is and Beebe knew it. It will cost 2M to defend it before the Supreme Court and the taxpayers of AR will pay for it. I don't like that for the sake of making a political point. It just makes the opposition stronger. God forgive us for trying to please you but so dumb in going about it.

So you put a price on saving the lives of the innocent? And the Supreme Court has been wrong on several occasions, Dred Scott being one of the most notorious, and Rov v Wade is another that should be reversed. God's Law trumps Supreme Court decisions or at least it should.

I think what "Unconstitutional" was saying is that we are pretty much spinning our wheels by putting forth unconstitutional legislation. We need to be smarter than that and therefore become effective.

No, they are making a mess of things, passing more regulations, taking away rights, and passing unconstitutional laws that will cost us plenty.
