They will make the playoffs but wont get far unless they do a better job stopping the run and stop throwing int's.

I agree they need to step it up. They all have talent but need to work better as a team. Move some positions around also. Some boys talents are not being utilized.

WR has a couple of the best receivers around in Dudley and Gaither. Dudley & Phillips have run the ball well but Holloway is on track to surpass Meadors & Blackwells 3 yr total in ints. The Defense has got to stop the run.

Sounds like Zach Carson's family or Zach are on here bad mouthing the QB thinking it will get him in there. They're winning so I would say the QB is doing his job. Hate that Gaither got injured and is out for the season but Hey, one man don't make the team and they proved they could win with or without him. So keep up the good work BOBCATS! Sometimes the ones the Coach thinks he can't replace are the ones that can be easily replaced by those sitting on the bench not getting playing time.

I think they need to stop picking favorites because of the name of the parent, the parent positon on the school board and how much is in the parents bank account. Back in my day if you were good you played. Not if the parents had money and were on the school board.

Take a look at the Sr Bobcats roster. How many names standout as being those with big bank accounts?

yep wrote: <quoted text> yep the dudley boy mama is one who acts like he is in pro football, Yeah she gets full of emotion but dont she act as her son is a pro. Its not just her son she gets behind. She cheers on every bobcat player with emotion. Maybe a bit more towards her own kid but what parent does'nt? Personally i love her enthusiasm. I wish more fans were like her. As a former Bobcat football player i loved hearing the fans from the field. Knowing that people are behind u means alot

Incase you haven't checked they have just a little over twenty players.(not a very big team) I personally know a lot of these boys and only one has a parent on the school board and he is doing a great job. He along with others have had to step up and play, do to the limited number of players. You must not know any of these boys families because their "bank accounts" have nothing to do with them playing. Keep up the good work Bobcats!

i think anybody should get any postion on the team if he comes out blows the previous person out of the water and gets the position. Not the same person b/c of their name in the town or who their parents are. Fair is fair!

Yep there is a kid on the team whos father is a school board member. A 10th grader that has stepped up and played better than ever expected in my personal opinion and he even got him a touchdown according to the latest addition of the TD. I dont think a checkbook dictates how you play on the field and whether you make it to the endzone. How you can set and say that is beyond me. For the boys to only have 21 or 22 players on the team, they stick together and they have proved that by winning 5 in a row and going for #6 on Friday night. But I suppose you can dream me up a way to say some daddys checkbook is putting wins on the scoreboard too. They are a team. No one single player can do it by themselves. They either win together or lose together. Sure they have 2 losses this year, one to a 3-A school that unloaded about 60 players off a Cave City bus and a conference loss to McCrory, who could probably beat some Div.2 colleges with that offense. But with a winning season going on it amazes me that folks can still get on Topix and grip and bitch about something like this. I guess thats the whole free speech part of the first amendment they teach in school. How about giving them a break and coming out to the field this week and cheer them on to another victory.... or go get you about a 100 verified signatures or however many it takes and run for school board (and win) and then your kid can be a star too and then set back and listen to everyone bitching about your kid being on the team and being a starter because of your power status..........oh and your checkbook.

Yep, that 10th grader would not have steped up if his father had not been on the school board,,,need I say more. It is status and money and name. There were other 10th graders who could have done the same thing but did they get the chance? NO. You all complain about low numbers, they are low because so many boys have gotten smart and said they will not be practice dummies. I hear all the time how some boys are worn out because they have to play several positions. If the positions were given to other players, the few that do get to play would not get so tired and we might win even more and do even better.

The coach's job is to win ballgames. He's going to use the best players in each position, regardless of their parents' bank account or status in town. GEEZ! You obviously don't know what you're talking about if you think there are other 10th graders to step up. There are only 4 or 5 who even played this year!! Sure wish more had played. With injuries, the Bobcats are getting pretty thin heading into the playoffs. I'm proud of how well they've played this season. Come out Friday night and see what's really going on instead of listening to negative comments on here about how these boys. They have earned their positions on the field and they earned my respect.
