I was just wondering if anyone knew how good the First Baptist Preschool was? I was thinking of trying to get my child in there for the fall. Anyone have any experiences with them?

Heard the old saying 1 bad apple spoiled the whole batch. Well in this instance it's true. Wonderful school great play area clean well kept up. Children love it there. But that 1 bad apple is a teacher that watches over the younger 2 year olds. I have heard horror story's about her. She pulls children by there arms , yells , spanks them , and most shocking thing is nothing has been done. Oh yes the director knows but still nothing done. There for I would really think about it hard. My friend took her little girl out of her room. Never to return. Might want to think about it little more. Ask the director if it's true. Ask questions before you make up your mind.

I am a mother of a 2 yr old in that room and the teacher is wonderful! Young yes but she knows how to handle 9- 2 year olds who half is in diapers and the other half is potty training.
I have been told by someone about things that have gone on on the room and when I ask other parents, make surprise visits, and ask the teacher about said problems. I find out this is untrue.
I have had my child a FBP for a while and we have had a really great exprience and have made some really good friends with the staff and other parents. I don't think you could go wrong placing your child there.

Only one persons view. Ask around more. Your child is the most important thing on earth. Sure you have your own option but that's yours. We all have one. How would you really know what's true and not ? You won't. And I'm sure things look good to eye view but what goes on behind closed doors you'll never know.

I've heard the kids run around yelling screaming climbing on the beds and setting on top of a high desk one child is shunned by her cause of her dislike of him something has and needs to be done that's unacceptable

both of my kids went there before starting to school and I never had any problems. In fact, one of my kids was an extremely picky eater and they went out of their way to fix them something different every day that they would eat. They were always very informative ....what the lesson was that day, what they had for lunch and how well your child ate, if they slept at nap time, how their behavior was and for the younger ones, how many times they pottied. My niece goes there now and she is two and I have never heard my sister complain about anything or the teacher.

It appears "I Have", "right" and one of the "guests" are the same person with an ax to grind. Be suspicious of their negativity and see for your self before believing.

About 4 years ago my child was went to FBP for about 2 weeks and I made a suprize visit and wasn't really thrilled but thought maybe I was just being a new mom so I had a friend visit another time and she was very suprized. The young girl who was watching the girls clearly had to many kids in her room. I think it was 7-9. She was trying to change diapers take some potty and the others were climbing on tables and fighting. I think that teacher is gone now but no mater what that many 2 year olds is to many. So I would just check on things.

Sounds like Rene Blackwell to me she has had it for that teacher for months!!!

She has been caught lying to parents over and over. She has even dragged other parents in to her lies!!

That doesn't sound like Rene' at all!!! If she did those things she wouldn't have been able to work there for 5 years....she would either be fired or the place would have closed due to lack of children. You probably need to think before you write and accuse someone of something they don't do!! Also she doesn't lie...I have known her for 16 years and she hasn't ever lied to me. Besides she doesn't work there now so willingly quit because she got an offer for a better job. She loves children and would never hurt any child and more than half of the parents requested Rene' to move up with their children. Why would they do that if she pulled on their arms or spanked them...they wouldn't!!! You probably need to focus on your own life and stop trying to cause other people trouble.

I thought they had cameras in all areas of that preschool? you might wish to ask that question before putting the school down, if they dont have cameras in each room I would suggest that you suggest they put one in this room for a short while without the teacher knowing, that should clear all things up in a matter of a short time. In this day and time I would be very surprised if that has not already been done. I am pretty sure they have cameras on their playground.

Two in their now!!!!!!! because she wasn't doing her job and had to have someone else to assist her. I heard she can't be trusted and they had to put someone else in their. Church board needs to remove that teacher before she hurts another child. Do they understand if she hurts another child that parent could & will press charges against her ???????? Maybe not because she's there every day.

This teacher in ? Has never hurt a child!!! I dont know where you get your info from but I have a child in that room and the teacher is great. Yes there are 2 teachers in the room but there is also about 10 or 11 2 yr olds in the room.

If you have a problem with her stop being and chicken and show your proof to the board. Oh wait you have no proof it's all made up s*** from your head

YES, there are cameras in the rooms, & if you request to watch them to see IF your child is being abused, the director (who has been director for over 30 yrs) i'm sure would glady show them to you. Apparently this immature, slanderous, gossiping, rumor starter needs to grow up!! I mean come on!!! I have family that started going there, & they are HAPPIER than they've ever been. They used to cry everyday at the previous child care center they went to. Sounds to me like someone just needs to grow up, & take their problems face to face...(since they "care" so much about the welfare of other ppls children) instead of mouthing behind someones back hiding their identity! COWARD!!
