Wondering

There was a woman at the truck stop in Beebe on Sat night, claiming to be Sidney Randall's grandmother?? she was needing money to get back to Walnut Ridge. She was driving an older van. Just seemed strange that it was a week later and this woman claimed to be in such hurry????

Does anyone know if they have searched the areas over around Black Rock where the Black River is, over along and around areas like Powhattan, Portia, Black Rock, Smithville etc? I have seen a map but I cannot focus in on it well enough to see the areas that have been searched. I see the yellow highlighted parts and all but can't make out any of the writing.
I am trying my best to hold out all hope that she is still living but I have a gut feeling she has been gone since right before he killed himself (if he did)...
I keep praying I'm wrong and of course no one wants that to be the case. I just can't help but think she is close by the area.. And kind of like you can't see the forest for the trees, that the searchers are all around her but can't see her. I guess just because so many times when things like this happen it seems it is something or somewhere right under noses and yet like the last place someone would think about as well. If that makes sense. I just know she needs to be home regardless. She needs to know she is loved and missed and wanted.. I am still praying for a good outcome, a miracle because they do happen every day. Hoping this is the one miracle we all get.
Once again, too, Thank You for all those searching, not giving up hope, the law enforcement, people with food, anyone that is helping in any way, shape or form. You are all appreciated!! Hope you know that.

she should have gotten sidney out of harms way no matter what she had to do and just because she has cancer is no excuse for not doing something before it came to all this...
Justwondering, Having Cancer is NO excuse....imo
That does not mean the Mother is 'helpless'and thus neglects her childrens safety and needs.

Also, this is a fear of mine is the young boy - the 10 year old at home. I feel very badly for this young man because you know there will be people out there that will lay the sins of the father on the son which is so very very wrong. I feel badly for him because not only has he lost a sister to be hidden somewhere or God forbid no long with us,but good or bad, he has also lost a father. I lost my father at age 6, saw it happen in front of me. That is bad enough BUT this boy will have a lot to deal with growing up. I pray they get him into counseling because he needs to know no matter what or who his father is or done it is nothing to do with him. He is a totally different individual. He needs to know that nothing he has done, hasn't done or anything bears anything on what happened. He needs to know he can be anything he wants to be growing up and that he can get through this with the proper help. I pray "society" doesn't let him fall through the cracks. He's a human being, he's a young boy and needs to know he is loved and wanted and not have to deal with anyone being ugly, mean or bullying him etc. The other boy I understand is older and has aspirations of going into the military and he will do well I think in that atmosphere for that will build him up in his mind and body both. Anyway, sorry to be so long winded, I just hope this younger boy will get what he needs in life from here on out.
My son is friends with the little boy and he is so sweet. My heart breaks for the whole family because I don't even want to imagine their pain and grief but my heart goes out to that little boy. I was just thinking last nite that his sister is missing and heaven forbid no longer with us but he also don't have a daddy anymore. I don't know his mom real well but I think she will do whatever needs to be done to get him thru this.

That may be the case but after driving a truck with my husband for 5 yrs, people will use any excuse to get money from people and truck stops are the first place they go. It's sad that this woman may not even be related or k ow the family and using Sidney as a way to make a few quick bucks. Just pray she's legit.

Has the mom ever said what she was doing before or after she saw Sidney go to bed or where the step dad was before or after ? Did he go to sleep beside the mom , did he sleep in the living room ????? Anyone know this ?

Why did the mother wake up and get out of bed at 3 a.m.? And, how did she realize her daughter was gone?
She said her daughter was last seen going to bed that night. Why check on her at 3 a.m.?
Does the average mother go around doing bed check at 3 a.m. because she's awake? Did she check on the other children also?
She knows more than she's saying.
The truth probably died with the stepfather.
I'm a mother and anytime I wake up to go pee or get something to drink, I always look in on my kids and just make sure they're ok. I thought that was just a mothers instinct.

I do the same thing. It is what all mothers do. I can not imagine checking and them not being there. How horrific that must be.

Me too. Have done this since they were newborns, it's a habit, I catch myself doing it even when they are spending the night with friends (which isn't allowed often)

Me, too! that is why I wonder why she made no mention of the other kids in the house and whether they were in bed and if they knew anything before she made the unnecessary call to the hospital and why those 2 teenage boys at the house did not simply go with John Cornell to look for her. Maybe I missed all this and if so I apologize.

Me too! Every time I pee I check on everybody and then I go outside and check on the cows and then I check on the horses and then I check on the deer.

Some questions I think would be important are, who was the last Creditable witness that saw Sidney besides the mother? Where was she? Who was she with? How was she behaving?

Thanks. I think that it is a relative to John. I don't blame family for not wanting to hear bad things about a relative. But many of these things have been on the News.

They are more than likely saying those things in an attempt to silence you. I highly doubt that anyone with any direct knowledge would be posting on this site....reading? Yes...posting? I wouldn't think so.This is a "discussion forum" henceforth, people are allowed to discuss things! Last i checked, this was still America, am i've never been really fond of bullies that try to silence people and their "opinions" with threats. We are all brainstorming and thinking of various possibilities as to what could of happened in an attempt to find a missing child. I for one know that i am not a policemen, investigator, or anything of the sort, and i'm certain they have it covered without any help from topix! However, that does not mean that the public does not care enough not to at least "try" to figure out what happened to this child. So, continue to speak your mind, view point, opinion, and don't remain silent....after all, remaining "silent" seems to be a contributing factor to this whole mess as it stands!
Very well stated!
Silence does seem to be a contributing factor to a 14 yr old who is missing. The belligerent responses from an idiot won't silence anyone. And I guess that missed the news about the ip addresses on this site. Speak for Sidney and yes; seek clues. You are correct also that people with information are reading this site.

Wrong. I don't do and have never walked around in the middle of the night checking my kids in their beds.
