Seen on the news this morning that Bob Kings burned to the ground late last night. I'm sure JR is all upset over this since it was part of his big Rock 'N Roll focus points.

Bob's was a great place and a landmark to many. A lot was lost in that fire. How 'bout you show some respect?

Other than some greats of music that played there, it was filled with trash, and further ruined a lot of lives.

I drove by while it was burning and yes, it took up a lot of memories with it, but most of them didn't need to be remembered anyhow.

It was a great place to hang out with friends. The Kings were like family to many of their customers and the new folks running it were doing a great job of bringing the club side back around. If your life is ruined in a bar you have no one to blame but yourself!

that place meant a lot to a lot of people... a lot more than just about drinkin'. and by the way the club never ruined one life, people are responsible for their own actions no matter where they are.

It would be nice to have it back, but it will never be the same. It was such a great place full of some really great people!

It was nothing but a trash hole. Back in the day it was a little better and cleaner but for the last 20 years it has been nothing but trash. If you wanted to get drunk, 2 step, and pick up a ole whor- then it was the place to be.

Of course there was an ugly side, heck Walmart has an ugly side! for the most part though, it was a bunch of really good people who came together from time to time to unwind. If all you saw were the trashy folks,,,,well maybe that has more to do with you than the club.

Hmmm?? We must have set at very different tables. I typically saw mostly people who were the 3rd generation in their families to hang out at Bob's. I did learn to two step there and I had my share of fish bowls. I also had a great time talking to the Kings and met some really nice friends. I saw the sad stories, but even they were kind and friendly. I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy the place.

It was sad about bob kings, I learned so much there. Like what does a big toothless gal and a scooter have in common. They are both fun to ride till your friends find out.

Nope I don't drink much. Do like the taste of fishbowls, but spent a lot of time as the D.D. I just liked the folks. Like I said, I did run in to a couple of jerks over the years. Mostly though it was just good folks who worked hard through the week and liked to unwind on the weekend. The jerks usually didn't stay long and then they just ran around talking about what a rotten place it was. Cut on me all you want if it makes you feel better. I will remember the place as it was for me.

Watering holes are intended for those who have failed or that are headed in that direction. Some like to see others in their misery. Remember when the dynamite went off and blew a whole in the wall?

Bob King was good to a lot of people and Evelyn is a super person though I did not agree with their business.
