I remember when I lived in Elsmore many years ago, I wondered the same thing. Was told that Savonburg citizens just joined in the Elsmore Days celebration. Did you used to live down there?

Yes, I grow up in Savonburg and went to school in Elsmore and Moran. I live in Chanute now. My parents was Paul & Ilene Lassen.

I lived in Elsmore from about 1973 through 1977, I believe. Was married to Lanny Roedel. THAT was an experience. Had a hard time adjusting to the town since I grew up in Flint Michigan. Now that I am older I would love to go back. Now I can appreciate the small quiet towns.
