Wow. I heard this unwinding on the scanner. With the speeds involved, it is mostly a miracle that people were not killed, simply amazing. What about the charges involved? Felony evasion? Driving under the influence? Driving on a suspended/revoked license? Being a dumb-a&# in possession of a motor vehicle? Precious little info on the suspect, other than that it's a "he". Age? Name? What a sheer act of stupidity and reckless endangerment. The potential for disaster here was great, I sure hope the DA is listening, and charges are levied appropriately. I don't want to read where this "suspect" got a suspended sentence. Sad, too, is that the DMV has proven to be highly ineffective at stopping repeat DUI offenders, so in a couple of years we can probably expect this fella behind the wheel again.

Well hopefully the suspect received several broken ribs and bruises from the "ditch" he rolled down, oh yeah, I forgot this is on HWY 29, no ditches, well hopefully the suspect sustained lots of brusing and cuts from the deployment of the airbag...

Great! We'd probably like to know who the perp was! Was the car stolen? Was the driver under the influence of alcohol/drugs? Unlicensed? Warrants? No insurance? Transporting illegal substances?

I wonder what these reporters do in real life. I'm sure this reporter must have a full-time job, otherwise how could he support himself? Isn't the job of "reporting" for the TH a voluntary position? If they do pay at least minimum wage then I can see many people applying since there are obviously NO JOB REQUIREMENTS..........

Even if the name was listed, would you know them? Doubtful. You all sound like a bunch of vigilantes. Were you planning to beat him down? Chase him down? No, you would do just what you are doing now, sitting in front of a computer, talking trash. You want more details, go down an apply for a job at the paper and you can chase the police cars and list every detail in your scoop.

The police got him. Get a life.

Do not sign any papers that let the city off of the hook. While the scum driving the car, is, of course responsible, municipalities also bear some responsibility. That is: When does a high speed chase far over-reach the need to arrest the suspect and begin to endanger innocent bystanders? Ninety miles per hour is wicked fast for a city street. It's even fairly fast for the freeway if other cars are around. What if one or two people had been hit and killed in a crosswalk? Or injured in such a manner as to require years of expensive medical care? In the long run, this creep better have been worth the collar. Until such time that the law changes and ALL responsibility lies with the rodent behind the wheel, cities and their police departments have to know when to cut the chase off, and grab the offender another day.(Of course having a spiffy new Solano County Bell JetRanger III with FLIR would be nice, but I'm dreaming)(But I'd be willing to add a half cent sales tax for one year to pay for one. Hint)

Im curious if you have triple A insurance. I was supposed to tow your vehicle but AAA took it instead. Hope every thing works out and glad no one was hurt. Made for an exciting night for me.
