Does anyone have knowledge of what happened with a man who (evidently) fell from the roof of the Walnut Creek BART station garage on June 4? My husband & I came across him and stayed until the paramedics declared him dead. I have not seen anything in any news papers.

Matt --
My husband & I came across him (evidently) right after he had fallen. He was unconcious and still breathing, however when the paramedics arrived (not that long into it) he had passed. There were several folks there trying to look after things. In addition to my husband and myself there was another man and woman who had arrived the same as us. It was the man that called 911 but I think the BART officials had done so also.

I am still pretty shook up about your friends death and am sorry for you and for his friends/family.

Take care,
Lynn

Matt,

I was the other woman that was their after your friend had fallen. I was walking through the bart parking lot listening to my i pod when I heard a loud noise. I looked over and saw your friend on the ground. I ran to the Bart attendant to call for help and we went to where your friend was and that is where Lynn, her husband and the other gentleman who had called 911 were. The rest is exactly how Lynn explained it. My heart goes out to his friends and family.

MaryAnn --
I hope you are ok -- I know that I have been very troubled since this and it has helped a bit to hear from Matt. I spoke with my minister about it, and that helped also in knowing that we were there with Sebastian at the end and him not being alone in this.

Lynn,

Yes I have been troubled from this as well. I wish I knew what caused the fall? It has helped to hear from Matt. The incident keeps going through my mind alot. Just keep in mind had he survived that fall he might have been paralyzed or something that would have changed his quality of life traumatically. Although it is still hard to bear the fact that this happened. I just would like to get more details so I can understand everything better. Take care and you can talk to me as often as you like. Did you get more information about the funeral? I know it is today but thought I'd ask in case I have time to attend.

No I have heard nothing back --Matt's message just indicated today in Danville, I too would have liked to have gone to have some closure and connect with others who knew Sebastian. I have tried to look online at a number of news sites to see if there was an obituary or something to indicate where -- If I find anything I'll post it back here for you...

Also I ran across Sebastian's myspace page -- it has some pictures of him and that has helped to see his face and connect that way..
you would go on myspace.com and you can search under his name and locate the page...

I just want to thank you again for coming to the gathering. Sebastian was such an interesting, quirky, and amazing person. He was a personal trainer at Bally's in Walnut Creek until they closed and he was fantastic! There are not enough words and time to tell you how wonderful and loving he was. He was the sweetest and most loving and caring boyfriend a girl could ask for!!!

Lynn and Mary Ann, I want you to know that I will forever consider you angels for staying by his side and not leaving him alone. He often felt very alone, and I am beyond grateful that he had you there to hold his hand in our place. I am so touched that you came to the funeral today and I am so glad I had the pleasure of meeting you. If there is anything you EVER need, please let me know...I owe you my never ending gratitude. I cannot thank you enough

I am so grateful to have been able to go to Sebastian's service and meet all of you. It has been very difficult since that day for me and getting to meet each of you and connecting has brought some healing to my heart.

I wish we could have done more and my thoughts and prayers go out to all...

Take care,
Lynn
