Sharon Conaway has successfully driven away yet another strong and capable town manager with her endless nitpicking, hair-splitting, and nasty, malicious, and hateful attitude.

Apparently it is not enough for the Conaway family to take money from the town; they must also rule.

Walnut Cove must have the record for towns of their size in turnover of town managers, not to mention the number of closed sessions. Public business is supposed to be conducted in public, not behind closed doors.

Wake up, folks, and do the right thing at election time to help WC grow and progress and vote for a candidate who wants to help the town, not hurt it.

Let Sharon continue to use money from absentee property owners outside of town to support their interests which are not in the best interest of the town, visit our nursing homes and assisting living center to bus people in to vote, treat town employees as disposable, and we all lose.

Not only did she drive away the best Manager we have had in years but she also drove away the Mayor that was doing a fantastic job. I to hope the people of the town wake up and vote for someone that has the interests of the town being the best that it can be. I don't think that even then that Sharron will give up.. She will still be a pain, she won't ever give it up. I hope that the Attorney will approve the request to release the results of the investigation, I think it will go a long way to opening peoples eyes to what kind of people they really are. I am just glad that the current manager made a informed decision to hire someone else... She will be on his case now... Bet they will be recycling the petitions to get rid of him now...

Best Town Manager? Homer Dearmin hired James Hill. What a loser that was. By the way, Sharon Conoway does not run the town board. It is made up of several individuals. Rag them all if you are going to rag one. You give her way too much credit. Move forward not backwards.

I'm not sure why the people of Walnut Cove voted this woman in to continue the corruption her husband was known for.

What a destructive force for the Town of Walnut Cove. She needs to go.

No other member on that board has caused the grief that Sharon has caused. She has constantly harassed Homer Dearmin, Jimmy Hill and the ex mayor. It is her that has called numerous closed sessions to argue and work against the town. It is all retaliation for her husbands firing. Just ask other board members. She was the same way at the fire department all in defense on Barry. They just can't accept that it time for them to move on.
Most of the people in favor of either one of them were done favors by the fired chief...

Good Grief said all that needs to be said..

Well the Stokes news says that the latest manager is leaving. Been hired since February... I think that is a record for leaving the quickest of any of the managers. He says his Significant other, Sheridan has taken a job in Connecticut. Walnut Cove is like as the World Turns...

Byron better be glad, because he was next on Sharon's list for not hiring her hubby back. I wouldn't vote for her or her husband for dogcatcher. They both need to be run out on a rail.

Here's a question. If Barry did nothing wrong, why don't they release the report on their own? Think on that one.

The board voted to keep the Manager, after being in one of Sharron's famous closed sessions for a hour. The vote was 2--2 with the Mayor breaking the tie... Mr. Mitchell and Ms Lewis voted to keep the manager and Mr. Mabe and Mrs Conaway voted not to rehire him. The Mayor had to vote to bread the tie. Now let the underhanded and conniving ways of the Conaways and their band of trouble makers begin. She still has to get revenge against the Manager not hiring her dear little Barry back.. Mark my word she won't give up, she doesn't have it in her to move on. I think this manager will sand up to her and he does have 3 on the board that will support him. The know how she is and won't put up with it...

You are so right Surenuff. She does nothing but try to make trouble. She is doing everything she can do to cause trouble for the Town Manager. He will have no peace until she is out of office which can't come soon enough. If only they would release the incriminating document that she so wants to stay private. Hopefully Homer will push them to open it again. Come on Homer push a little harder. Do us all a favor!
