This is crazy!! What happened to no parole, no probation for violent offenders???? This guy raped strange women at random. He has yet to own up to his crimes AND he has received little if any help for his problem. No nothing. And now, after 24 years of him denying his crime he will be allowed on our streets...but it's okay because he will be monitored and NOW THEY REQUIRE THERAPY!! Why not treat him BEFORE letting him free. Better yet, why not send him and all the other sickos to some island somewhere. Let him worry about some Sicko attacking him!!!
I am stunned. I cannot for the life of mean understand our legal system. What about his victims?? Do you think they received a 24 year sentence??? NO!! THEY WERE SENTENCED TO LIFE!! They don't have a say in the matter....and I bet they've all received help....MORE THAN OUR RAPIST HAS! So, when this guy rapes his next victim....who will take responsibility for that??
Nice Connecticut....very nice.
This world really does SUCK!!

Your kidding right??? Things are not going to be well for the other residents! Why should they be "well for him"!

Trish, show a little compassion. The man served his time.

His victims don't have the leisure of compassion!
He has not even admitted to doing anything wrong!! In his mind, he did nothing wrong!! So, what's to stop him? Certainly not the numberous sessions of therapy he hasn't received.
He should be required to undergo treatment!

And his sister and husband are ALLOWING this convicted rapist to live in their home with their 2 teenage daughters....this is truly unbelievable. I don't care if he's her brother, you are now putting your daughters in terrible danger. He's a rapist, attacking girls and woman of all ages, over and over again throughout CT. And you are allowing him to live under the same roof with your 2 teenage daughters. These girls must be terrified. Neighbors are, Governor is, Attorney General is even involved. He should be in a halfway house. He'll be home all day home all alone while sister, brother inlaw go to work and teenage girls go to school. He'll see all the little girls walk to their bus stops, who gets off the stops, who walks home alone, who enters their house alone with no car in driveway. He'll be alone in the house and can leave, regardless of the tracking bracelet. 24 years cooped up. He's going to strike again. They always do. Little girls walk by the house to their bus stop, they ride their bikes, they play in their yards, parents work. He's a danger. He needs to go elsewhere. Fast.

WOW!!! Take a look at this!!!!!! And she even leaves her PHONE NUMBER! WOW! I am in shock!
And what is the most shocking...David's sister, the woman who plans on taking him in...has CHILDREN. As a matter of fact, she has a 17 year old DAUGHTER. I can not imagine being that girl. She will NEVER live a normal life, from here on out. Can you imagine what that poor girl is going through at school?
Ohh and another thing...David was convicted in 1983...He had a wife and two young sons at the time. Which means that his sons are probably in their late 20's now. And I am assuming if David still believes he is innocent, that he will want to contact his "wife" and children once he is released.
I CAN NOT imagine being that woman... her husband who she thought she knew, and loved raped innocent women and girls and is suddenly thrown into prison for 25 years. Now all of a sudden he is being released. I would be petrified. And I hope those boys want NOTHING to do with him.
I have SO MUCH to say about this case. SO MUCH! I am familiar with the neighborhood, I am familiar with the law enforcement in that area and I am scared for the community. Being a woman (young and in her 20's) I would be petrified to live in that area, with or without children.
If you do a little research on WHAT this man did to these women, and then do a little MORE research on the LACK of rehabilitation this man received, you will see that he is still a significant threat to the community. His CHIEF PROBATIONARY OFFICER even said in a conversation with the neighbors that he is significant risk to the community, TWICE!
Question: Does anyone know when and where the town meeting will be held? I believe I heard something on the radio about a meeting tonight at the Southbury high school...can anyone verify this?

You go Trish....I would show NO compassion at all, did he or does he even think about his victims.....what if it happened to your loved one, would you have compassion? I would not....serial rapists should get life in prison for the acts of violence he committed against another human being who was just trying to live in this world!! Taht was taken away from them....POOR MAN, I DO NOT THINK SO...

You guys are all ridiculous. If any of you have ever been to Southbury you would know that it's Pomperaug High School and not southbury High School.
Secondly, if you had ever been to southbury you would know the majority of the people who live in the neighborhood the rapist was put in are wealthy, and have security systems.
Finally,if this is anywhere other than southbury it wouldn't have even made the news.
There's not shit to do in this town, and everyone knows it. The elderly in this town are more of a threat than this rapist, clearly.
The majority of deaths and injuries and this town are consequence of elderly people behind the wheel of a car.
So in closing I say this man has done his time, this town is getting the karma it deserves after treating its youth terribly by sheltering them from the outside world and giving them nothing to do.
